HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!
ay nakow i miss my friend, she migrated there in west covina 2 or 3 years ago she used to be my kohai back in high school namimiss ko kasi ung tawag nya sa akin 'sempai' kasi tawag nya sa akin...
hmm... new year here was quite, quiet it was so peaceful that it bored me to death, fireworks are prohibited here... it's so sad T_T pero mas mabuti na rin un kaysa naman may madisgrasya

haha! what a way to spent new year .....
went out this morning and it is so damn quiet...
but u can see the aftermath of those "paputok" last night
we just watch and didnt play any firecrackers ... enjoying the fun of being out of the house watching all those "kapitbahay" and some blocks away firework display..... sugoi neh... i just spent a mere php10 for 2 pack of sparklers this year ^^

di nia siguro alam na mod yung kalaban nia hey pasensha na missfab, hindi ko talagang intention na makipag-away, pero competitive rin ako minsan lol.. i was only expressing my opinion, ewan ko ba kung bakit naging offensive sila. i was expecting to settle down through PM, kasi maganda talaga pag 1 on 1 kayo privately.. pero niisang tao walang nagsend sakin oh kitamo ganon talaga dito, nagkakampihan sila hehe
medjo sanay na rin ako makipag-away dito, may mapa na ako jan eh, nakakahiya rin minsan kasi pati admin nadamay as in super nagalit sha

oh yeh its raining like cats and dogs here lol.. balita ko rin uulan daw bukas, lintik.. hindi tuloy ako nakipag shopping its soo freakin cold too. but did you get to watch yoshitsune yesterday? it was on around 430pm
@saito: its a lot cheaper, kasi marami ring mga bootlegs lol pero yung mga fragile like tea sets and everything, mamamahal but in fairness, yung mga original cds, books and magazines sa mga stores like kinokuya, and some anime stores.. may pagka mahal rin _________________

I see. Shopping in the "real" Tokyo is really expensive . Here in the Philippines, you can find original Japanese anime stuff like vcds/dvds, cds (soundtracks), posters, toys, costumes and etc. at Comic Alley. The price is a little expensive but considering they are selling original stuff, the prices is ok compared to buying online where they place a shipping fee which is sometimes much expensive than the product you bought . I only buy online when I can't find the thing I am looking for here in the country like the katana that I used for a cosplay . _________________

you used a real katana for a cosplay? hmm...magkano naman bili mo sa katana? it's about 2kg ayt? Original anime merchindise is hard to find here in davao, so we end up downloading stuff from the internet, a friend of mine also have a friend who sells his downloaded stuff for 50php/cd.

ohhh... i didnt know this thread exists here.. [^^;] i really hope tuloy pa din ang Gokusen this 2006 sa GMA7 wish ko lng... haha... too bad ABS pull out SOS here... well mas gusto ko pa magrelease ang 7 than 2... well this is only my opinion... feel ko kc pag nasa 2 nagiging jologs ang dating... prolly to name changing, bad dubbing at most of the times and other stuffs...
i know that coming with DVDs and CDs they have the same price on Lil Tokyo... kc dun ko pinapabili ung dad ko with my cds.. and same price lng cya.. ive read in one na ung binebenta na Japanese Music CDs sa Comic Alley were Taiwan Bootleg release... i was warned by someone before kc bumili cya dun and she checked if it was original.. she didnt saw the sony logo on the cd and she realized its a Taiwan bootleg...

i dont really buy cds and dvds there, cuz i can always download pero sa mga mahilig ng figurines, may isang store dun na maraming nagse-sell ng dolls/figures.
i bought a katana sa anime expo, not for cosplaying but for collection meron ring nagse-sell dito sa mall namin pero sobrang mahal sha the convention would be my last bet, and cheaper too. _________________
Yup, I wore the Shinsengumi kimono and I thought it would be stupid to put on a customized katana so I bought a real one . Anyway, I bought my katana for 1,050 pesos (approximately 19$). I don't know if the price is cheap or not because I don't know the standard price of this stuff . I used it once for cosplaying but now it's just a decoration in my room .
Anyway, I didn't know the issue about the cds from Comic Alley because I don't buy dvds, vcds, and cds because I just download them from the net too . But I do buy toys and other merchandise in that store, which I think are original. _________________

I, too had the same impression on the sonmay cds I bought from Comic Alley. A friend told me some years back that they were indeed bootleg copies. Dunno really. They even rival the quality of locally produced audio cds featuring Filipino artists (OPM).
I bet it's a tit for tat. GMA pulled out Gokusen, so ABS lost any reason to air its own J-dorama. Oh well, let's just hope it even airs. _________________
