The storyline was promising - lots of eye candy - gorgeous actors & beautiful actresses but lol, I ended up dissapointed. Since the writer chose Koyuki's role as the main protoganist - i.e the story of Antique Cake Store as seen through her eyes - a reporter, then he should have developed more depth into her character. For instance, more should have been developed about the romance between her & Fujiki. Takki too should have his own romantic sub-plot with his nurse room-mate since it was him that Koyuki's role was supposed to investigate.
The ending was flat as far as the romance between Koyuki & Fujiki was concerned. The writer should show how Koyuki's role as a tomboyish, gung-ho reporter was transformed into a beautiful & sensitive writer towards the end as a result of her having been part of the Antique Cake Store gang of friends & her crush on Fujiki. Takki's development into a matured & confident chef should have been shown more effectively.
Acting performance - I find Takki, Koyuki & Shippei acted well. Koyuki was impressive as usual & was one of the highlights in the drama but I find Fujiki & Abe too stiff in their roles.

bwahahahahaha!!!!! ok this is my expression every time i think of this dorama.... it made me laff like mad.... to me i really love this dorama for it's unique story telling and yeah the eye and mouth candy *those beautifully-mouth-watering cakes make me wanna go and gobble on cake every now and then...*
takki is really different in this dorama where he's acting as an ex brute to ex boxer and a young chef!!!! no one can ever really imagine that will be coming out of a person like Eiji kun.... and he called his boss as OYAJII!!!! bwahahaha!!! so..... rude??!! and i falls in love with Fujiki through this dorama.... Shiina was funny when he's depressed and when he was so surprised over the kissing practice between Takki and Fujiki... that was really funny!!!! and Abe, he certainly like a real Kage to his cousin..... he is so tall ne but really yasashi in this dorama....
