KMSeeshter .. deal.. i'll email a pot of steaming Tinolang Manok right now.. what is it called in english anyway? ginger chicken broth soup? (that was so lame).. we still have ham from Christmas.. I'm getting sick and tired of it.. Who the hell buys a ham worth $40 anyway??? *monkey-slaps uncle who gave us ham* |
*puts a stamp on the box of pocky* I hope the mail man doesn't eat it...
Yeah, i thnk the ham was originally for christmas/new years but we made so much food we're just now getting around to eat it.
BTW, I've heard scary things about mercury and tuna too. Like how you're not supposed to eat a lot while pregnant because they think that it's connected to the development of Autism in the unborn kids... nothing is safe anymore.

Maybe spring water, like tuna.
From the charts, salmon (canned or fresh/frozen) has ten times less mercury than chunk light tuna...
Thing is, do we accumulate the mercury in our bodies as well or we purge it? Or at least most of it?

there are certain substances such as antioxidants that help chelate heavy metals from the body...but obviously if one is consuming more than the body can detoxify at any given time it will reduce healthy bodily function.

Hmm, fascinating.
You're very well read. And/or a doctor (or similar).
I've gotta read up on this.

i appreciate your compliment (if i can take it as such).
i only have a cursory knowledge of the subject but i like to share knowledge here just as others have shared knowledge on various topics that i've found both interesting and fascinating....and educational. i am not a doctor, kind sir, but i do have a strong belief that living in an industrial society, as we do, the exposure to various environmental factors has a profound impact on health...and nutrition seems to be the best defense to combat such stressors.
