Omg I didn't like her acting in Azumi 2 and she was Oook in the first one, really don't like her acting other than her smile.
Although the script wasn't quite as good as I had hoped for, at least Aya was given a lot more character development to work with. The scene in the forest where she's paralysed was a genuinely great performance. If there is a third movie, they need to balance the action and drama and make the whole thing a lot, lot more focused. This last one felt a bit all over the place. Oh, and give Aya sword fighting lessons

haha yeah i saw her movie "install" that movie had a wierd plot , I couldn't say much about her acting skills since its was such a wierd story and she even let a little kid touch her breast! Though I did like her acting in that vollyball drama though I just think the role Azumi wasn't suited for her or the role in install.

I'm going to comment on the actual movie instead of Aya's acting alone: Azumi was ok, but I think Azumi 2 was pretty disappointing as a whole. The beginning looked promising then many things start happening in a half-hearted manner that the theme/emotions they were trying to convey end up short. Aya's acting was ok in this one; I just wished the script was good enough to bring out more of her skills.
I commented on Install on another page, but I'll say it again. I was very impressed with its story. I'd like to read the book if it's available in English lol. Aya did a pretty good job in her role, and her chemistry with the kid was just amazing. I think I enjoyed Install more than Azumi (although that movie's got lots of sweet action hehehe).

On a side note, got the Kindai magazine...though Aya isn't on the cover, the pics inside are nice. Will try to get these scanned and posted soon _________________

First saw Aya in Azumi and IMO she is perfect for the role. Then her performance in Azumi 2 was good too, but the script was somehow weak and halfbaked. If third one is made, they should work more over the plot. And better not to put again counterparts of dead characters... _________________

....and kill them all off so easily.... it's like, no one but Azumi can beat the more powerful villains without dying :\
Buhahaha, well this must be borrowing from holywood movies where thousands of bullets are fired, but none reaches the main character (for an example - Schwarzenegger in Commando ). But in case of Azumi this scheme fits right, because contrast between vision of main character as a a cute fragile girl and her actions as a severe killer makes such strong impression (at least for me). _________________

I don't mind Azumi being seemingly invincible, but I wished the supporting cast would've given a good fight against a relatively stronger villain instead of always leaving it to Azumi to kill them off.

At least in Azumi 2 the stronger villians weren't all killed by Azumi
Don't know how they going to do an Azumi 3.....anyone read the Manga????
All I can think of is that Kanbei wants revenge. After watching Azumi 2 I then realized that the guy who plays Kanbei is the same guy who plays her dad in Hitonatsu....can't believe i didn't recognize him even though I saw Azumi 1 like 4 times
If anything....Azumi will bump into another group of skilled sword fighters liek she did in Azumi 2 and they'll team up to fight against Kanbei and his army of weak fighters _________________
