Hi ShanghaiGal,
If it's true that Jun is going to star in a butai, how can I get tickets to the butai? I really wanna watch Jun in something since you've explained the con tickets are sooooo hard to get. Will the butai tickets be as difficult to get as the con?
Thank you.
yes and no.
its better than the concert tickets, but it doenst mean that its any better (lol)
neways, this is how it works for butai tickets.
a big part of the butai tickets are going to be sold through the fanclub. if there is tickets remained within the fc, it can be sold to non-fc fans. but lets assume it will be sold out because it probably is going to be sold out. because suzuki anne is going to be starring in the butai, some part of the tickets will be sold through her agency as well. probably through fc, again.
and the only way for non-fc ppl to get the tickets is to.....
watch out for any (if there is any) tickets sold through "pia(҂)" an special agency who sells tickets for butai.
the other one is to go to the threater on the day u want to watch the butai, and line-up for the daily stand-by tickets. there are probably 10-30 tickets sold for stand-by everyday. one good thing about this stand-by system is that its like a lottery system, and once you arrive at the theater, you get a plate with a number on it. and, they will have a cut off from the smallest number.
so for example, if u get a 25, and they say the cutt off is 32, then u get the stab by ticket. if u had 45, then u dont.
the # on the plate are mixed, so it doenst mean the faster u arive the better.
one very bad thing about this is that for overseas fans, u cant really....rely on this stand-by ticket, because u might or might not get the ticket, and u cant fly all the way to japan just for a ticket u might or might not get. if you are going on a holiday to japan, and watching the butai isnt the main event, u should try this, but dont plan a trip to japan soley relied on the stand-by ticket.
and i will say, u have to be very lucky to get this ticket. for ohno's butai last year, maximum 700+ ppl lined up for the stand-by ticket for around 30 tickets avilable....the probability will be....you do the math (;pp)
sorry for smashing your dream of going to japan.......
got any friends at japan?
or have any japanese friends around ?
try asking them if they can make an account for you by her address.
if so, plan ahead, the butai tickets are going to be sold around mid march (i think) if so, try to be a member until late feb !
man, i wish i could do the same as i wrote above.....i do have relatives and friends in japan too....its just that its too embarassing to say im a johhnys fan lol

Hi!
I'm new here (this is my first post @_@) so I hope I don't mess up anything
I'm fun of Arashi, especially MatsuJun so when I saw this thread I just had to enter and say Hi:) But because it's so big thread I have no ide what you're talking about here:)
lots......i've seen almost all conert dvds of johhnys artists being illegaly sold. and the quality is pretty darn good.
neways,i just surfed yesasia, and i just wondered why the overseas version is so cheap. i know partly its due to the qualities of the cds they use (dvd and vcd) but i mean, theres a HUGE difference in the price.......
i really wonder if the product sell in yesasia are even legal as well.
i wonder if johnnys jimusho actually knows about this whole thing.
i cant believe that johhny kitagawa will sell dvds to foreign countries cheaper than in japan. (;p)
one reason i think this way is that, they never EVER say in japan that they released the dvd overseas.
IF the never say it, thats fine.
but txt is releasing their new single cds to china/taiwan, thailand and they are making a big fuss about it. like, i've seen it on tv wideshows (japanese gossip news programs) and on magazines.
i think, if the dvds were actually sold legally to overseas countries, the japaneses fans will know at least a little bit.
im sure the jaapnese ver of the dvd sold in yesasia is legal, but im not convinced that the overseas version is legal.
not only JE sells cds and dvd cheaper overseas
basically all of the japan-produced cds are more ex in japan
reason--the japanese are willing to pay for the ORIGINAL cd no matter how ex they are....the piracy rate in japan is one of the lowest
neither do the japanese download songs illegally
if they were to download the songs, they will do it in the legal way
and since japanese are willing to pay for the original, the company will of course price it at a higher price
Overseas, they have to 'compete' with the pirated ones since people are less willing to pay for the original
that is why they have to price it cheaper overseas
but then again, even when they price it at a cheaper price, people are still not buying but downloading illegally
which my friend said probably that is why the japanese do not really 'care' about overseas market
why go through all the trouble when what you get from overseas is only a fraction of what you get in japan alone?

probably......
i think japanese fans weigh value on getting the original cd because thats the only good we can do for the artists themselves.
i mean, fine, download your songs from the net, or get illegal copies, but thats just gonna hurt the finance of the artists and giving profit to people totally irrelavant.
i also think that way too....although i always get the music of arashi from the internet before hand, i always purchase the legal copy of the cd when i visit japan.
do you guys actually purchase the legal copy of the cds/dvds ?
its one of the limited ways we can support arashi. purchasing legal copies of the cds/dvds from amazon japan (they deliver overseas!)
i think it will give MUCH MORE to arashi then downloading stuff off the net. i've seen arashi fans buy 10 copies of wish just because they wanted arashi to get the 1st on oricon chart.....
i know its not always about the money, but its the most direct way to show dedication huh? lol
this made me think, us watching arashi's programs like this (not from the tv) is only for the good of ourselves.
no wonder arashi/johnnys jimusho doenst care about the overseas fan huh ?
overseas fans watching the dramas a million times has no influence what so ever to the japanese market. a single viewer in japan will make a big difference tho.

well, I really wish I could buy legal stuff. I'm always saying that one day I will. But here in Poland Internet is the only way of listening japanese music and watching japanese drama. Even to buy things in online shops I would need credit card, and I don't have it, I even don't have any friend whith card so I could ask them for help.
If you see any way (and of course other than going to Japan, because of course that's my dream but it doesn't seem to come true anytime soon) then I'll be glad to hear.

Minna-san!!
I watched both of Sho-kun`s concerts today in Nagoya. Total of 3 1/2 hrs of Sho-kun... Stood in the FREEZING rain for over an hour waiting to get in, but it was all worth it!
Sho-kun was great and as usual he was looking HOT - esp in those tank tops he was wearing..those muscles..OMG. no wonder oh-chan called him `muscle man`
Due to the small venue, it was like being in an arena seat . This is my first time seeing sho-kun in person and got a close up. *faints..*
In the opening number. He wore white with a red tie. Kakkoii!
He sang three new songs, the acoustic version of Sketch, the song he and nino wrote for the 24 hours TV, another one called Chapter 2 or something, which had a reggae sounding tune and had three verses: one about his entry into the entertainment world at 13, next about encouring his friend who graduted with him and who was searching for a job and the last one, to encourage everyone. The last one was a tie-up with Satoshi-kun. It was called `our song` ie ore no kyouku or something like that. It was cho-kawaii! They wrote the lyrics themselves, which was really funny and baka. For Sho-kun`s concert, oh-chan would appear on the video screen and apparently for Ohno`s concert, Sho-kun would appear on the
video screen. Oh-chane@dancing was hilarious! Reminded me of Austin Powers..
Someone shouted if satoshi was around this afternoon, but sho-kun said `He is not THAT free!!` ȁ@ɂ˂āI
The other songs were mostly arashi songs with all vocals by sho. The last song for the 2nd concert was A.Ra.Shi and it became a mass karaoke session.
Anyway the concert was great, and if anyone is still thinking of going,
GO! GO! GO!

You know what I was thinking? They could do that together when they are both at sendai... Oh-chan can come to Sho-kun's the day before his first concert.. and sho-kun could come to Oh-chan's the next day before heading off to Tokyo...
but then they would be doing a double duty thing.. i don't want them to overwork themselves...

I'm optimistic about "new" ARASHI. It's not like our boys won't see each ever, just temporarily they will go their seperate ways, establish their own fame and stilll be known as ARASHI.

@Ryoko nee chan: HAHAHAHA. I DON'T THINK AI CHAN COULD HOLD A CONCERT BY HIMSELF EITHER.....HAHAHA. YOUR POOR MISTERESS....isn't it sad? I wrote in LJ again. =D
