Ok Beem, just for you......
Johnny Revolta lives in my town. He has a place where he can pull his 707 up to his house.
They have a big picture of him at the best Japanese restaurant (there are two) with the owner. A blowup from a polaroid
They say he works out at my Gym but Ive never seen him and he sure doesnt look like he works out much to me. _________________

Anyone seen our 38 ton statue? We were sure it was right over...
Okay. I'm a philistine. I'm a peasant. I'm a fud. But this is the funniest thing I've seen in a paper in years:
The Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid has "lost" a 38 ton sculpture by American artist Richard Serra.
The museum commissioned the work in 1986 and it consisted of 4 stark steel slabs. Big freakin' slabs.
The piece was on exhibit until 1990, when it was put into storage with a company who specialized in storing big assed pieces of art.
Problem. That company dissolved in 1998.
The museum decided to display the statue again recently, but when they went to look for it... nowhere to be found!
The cops think that someone (who hadn't been told that it was art) might have had it melted down and sold for scrap.
Some examples of his other work:
I think the cops might just be right about this one.

I think youre right. But I also think his pieces are quite graceful and rather beautiful.
sad if it was melted down. But I think the cops are probably right on this too. Its a shame. _________________

That list is bogus: Are you telling me Hollywood didn't make any stinkers before 1980??
Ridiculous.
That list has to be qualified, like "Top 20 stinkers in recent memory" or something....

the nod and smile technique worked wonders for me in college. some professor will be rambling on and on about stuff and when our eyes would meet, i won't avoid his gaze i would smile and nod at what s/he's saying..
