AMEN another person AGREES with me....that drama was especially wack because she was still very young...i think she's gotten slightly better but only in the same sense that cold pizza tastes better than lukewarm pizza.
but she was awesome in that scene in SOS where shes in the hospital bed pouting and not saying anything.

Okay, I finally finished Ai no Uta.
1) Miho Kanno absolutely glowed in this show. I started thinking of her as the shiny actress. And Emi Wakui did such a great job as an odd little comic side character she completely changed my opinion of her.
2) In the end though, I was kind of disappointed. The show took such a sharp turn to the weepy, saccharine, we can make you cry dark side that it sort of turned me off. And then in the end.. I thought they chickened out.
I'm also down to the last episode of "Last Christmas" -- with subs. Makes a huge difference. It's a good quality show. It won't make my top 10 or even my top 20 doramas. But it was worth watching.
Side note: I am worn out with shows that want to depress me. That want to make me cry.
I'm a pretty sentimental guy, and a wildly gullible guy, so I can be sucked in, and I will cry at sad scenes.
I just don't want to.
And I don't really know why so many people relish the opportunity to see something that's gonna depress them. That tries to depress them.
I think I have to find something decidely goofy for my next show. _________________

Just finished watching NwP, a funny and refreshing drama indeed
Currently watching Kimi wa Petto. The first episode is very interesting and hilarious, can't wait to finish this series too
Just finished Yasashii Jikan. I liked this dorama a lot, but it's probably a series that won't appeal to many. For one thing, with a couple of exceptions, the cast consists of actors/actresses who are 40+ years old. The pacing is very deliberate; the themes are probably best appreciated by those with a certain degree of maturity and life experience; there is an absence of flash and glitter and a lack of high energy and over-the-top scenarios. Instead, it is a quiet, reflective series. It unfolds slowly and naturally in wintertime rural Hokkaido; the setting, btw, plays such an integral part in the story it could be considered one of the lead characters. It is an honest look at life without the superficiality and banality I have seen in a lot of other dorama. Definitely not everybody's cup of tea, but I found it worthwhile watching.
Just finished 4th ep of Ganbatte Ikimashoi and 1st ep of Hero. Hero is hilarious not too great a plot so far but looks like it'll be a nice comedic series to continue.

Yup it can get pretty funny, Hero.
I watched the serie in a day because I thought it was interesting and funny.
Not a whole lot of plot as you said. Each ep has its own story sorta say. _________________

I'm on ep 5 of Yasashii Jikan right now, and I agree with you, it's not for everyone. I like it though, it's very different.
