My biggest dissapointment was that Shiraishi Miho did not win after her role as Jinkama san.

don't worry she still possesses the power of the Dark Side.

That was one of my all time favorite performances by a supporting actress in any drama that I have seen. But life goes on. |

I agree with you on that.. if it helps.. she only lost by a few (think less than 5 votes)

 I voted for her too..

i lasted longer than that but that only shows my obstinence and foolishness....i think that show was bankrupt in a multitude of ways...the story was stupid as f*ck...the acting was shittier than a field of fertilizer....it was as creative as painting a hole on a pig's ass. maybe the worst show i've ever seen.

classes....given my love for rhyme let me say: LEAVE YOUR TOFEL SCORE AT THE DOOR.

 funny...
i thought this was the JDORAMA AWARDS thread.
how come it has become a bashing-of-SOS thread?

and yeah, you may say you have the right to bash anyone or anything you want coz of freedom of speech. but i don't think everyone agrees with you. so i think using full-of-crap words against another wouldn't help.

or perhaps it's because you just didn't understand the story that's why you reverted to bashing? personally i like the story and guess what, as what gelyn said that's what the role of Tackey there calls for. so bear with it.

nah! it's good you didn't like it anyway. don't want to have the same taste as yours.

I don't think Aya is the next kyoko, since they are different. I really don't seen any similarities, and I am biased, since i am a fan of Kyoko. There are others that think she cannot act well, and also her singing career didn't do that well, but i still like her and she is a babe.

I also like Aya Ueto, so i think they are both good.

Well I just watched some of Ace wo Nerea and it is my first Ueto Aya drama. For some reason she comes off like a younger/slimmer Kyoko. Maybe because her naive outlooks?

on the contrary, most people...now, think Kyoko was fat or chubby..**sarcasm**....but i beg to differ...what is fat? just look around you if you are in america...
most japanese people, and from what i have seen while in Tokyo visiting last year, i have seen mostly slim japanese....
perhaps Kyoko-chan was chubby, but i don't see that, she's hot, but i think she looks even better now.

I guess they have some similarities like they do movies and sing. I think Aya was mostly a singer at first than, she became an actress. As far as I know, Kyoko is making mostly movies these days. She isn't bad in some roles, like that face she does, but I won't go farther. (The pandora's box was open long ago anyway

obviously kyoko is insanely popular...no denying that..but did she reach the same level of fame as aya ueto so quickly...given ueto's numerous commercial endoresements and viable music and acting careers i think she's reached a larger audience....she's huge.

 no problem..i was just joking...

  	  | Quote: | | Although Kyoko's acting isn't too popular with many people including myself I suppose that there are certain roles that only her acting style (ditzy, naive) can pull off. I'm thinking of To Heart, Friends, Remote, and yes S.O.S. I can't think of any other girl that could replace Kyoko in those roles - well maybe Ishihara Satomi.
 |

yeah i guess she does excel in certain niche roles...but the strength of her acting leaves a lot to be desired espcially compared to other young women in japanese entertainment.
