Fukada Kyoko
Normally there are three kinds of dramas that I simply won't touch.
Any show set in a hospital, or a show that has a doctor as the lead character.
Kyumei Byoto 24 ji series is pretty good...the first two anyway
Any show that features Fujiwara Norika.
...but then u woulda missed "with love"and "love generation"
And especially, any show that stars Fukada Kyoko. (Put simply, noone's cute enough to be that bad an actress.)
she was well suited for "to heart" also since she was playing a simple anime type character
But to give her her due... she did find a part that suited her. 2002's "Remote"
A brilliant (not Fukada) but agoraphobic police detective needs someone to go out into the world and be his eyes and ears. He runs the case, does the thinking, and his assistant goes the the scenes and by phone tells him what she sees. (That's Fukada.)
The part is perfect for her. She's not supposed to be brave or bright. She's supposed to pout. She pouts, and she stomps her feet like a 4 year old. She screams, she cries, she wimpers, and she pouts. She puts a confused look on her face, she arranges her face so as to look worried or frightened, and ... have I mentioned that she pouts?
Fukada may not be able to do much (like act), but she can pout. And in this show... it works. Her character is supposed to be a bobble headed meter-maid being sent, often against her will, into dark, creepy, scary, dangerous places. That's the fun of the show.
So I can't believe I'm saying this but... don't pass up "Remote" just because Fukada is in it. I've seen 3 episodes now, and she makes the show work.

oh man you have entirely too much time on your hands if you re-watch sos, bro...
i wish i could rewind my life and get the time back i spent watching that crappy show...
i think have to agree... i couldnt get thru it the first time... altho i was amused that takki wore a shirt that said porn star...... but geez, i wont download any more shows with kyoko... after SOS i'm scared.
altho i also heard that remote was good... then again i dunno, we'll see, if im courageous enough to venture into those waters... i kinda wanna stay away from her shows now and im not a guy so i wont be able to, i dunno, just stare at her and forget about her acting skills =P
havent watched the last few eps of lunch queen that i have yet... b/c ive been too busy rewatching nobuta... geez, such a good show!!! _________________

She is one of the reason why i kept watching S.O.S to the very end.
I thought everything about the drama was going good until it neared the end....it got weird
I might watch this drama one more time just to watch Rina again.....but Tackey's and Fukada's character
Yeah, I got through it because of Rina Uchiyama and Yosuke Kubozuka. He's a cool dude.

Five was worst IMHO. It's the only show I didn't finish. I watched up to episode 4 or 5 and couldn't anymore. Even on fast forward. Not really the story, but the production. The guy should've bought a steady cam and keep his finger off the zoom.
Maybe I'm not affected by SOS as much as other people, because its the 2nd show I saw. The 3rd one was To Heart. I got hooked even if the story was weird. I guess it would be different, if I'd watched it after a few good shows or if I'd watched it today.
Then again, I've watched Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Live Action's 50+ episodes.
I Think I'll start a Division 1 series. 4 episodes without subs, that's gonna be fun. _________________

yes, SOS (Sack O' Shiet) starring Kyoko Fukaka was the ultimate in wackness....it remains to this day the only show i haven't finished.

nah, i'm cool....just chilling....had fun though....haven't watched anything today but i did take in a couple of more episodes of Anego yesterday...it's not bad, the story being told from the pespective of a working woman looking for love...i like ryoko shinohara..my only caveat is that i am so OVER and SICK of these plots were there's an older woman and a hella younger guy...it's fuggin' stoopid as hell. it's been so overdone already...like ayumi hamasaki's plastic surgery.

finished watching Dragonzakura, another great series!
I actually liked it more than gokusen...
focus is more on studying whereas gokusen focuses more on the student's life outside of school _________________
Finished Hotman 2. The only memorable thing about the first Hotman was the pretty amazing performance by Nana Yamauchi, who was probably around 5 years old at the time. Well, in Hotman 2, it was obvious that the producers wanted to exploit the appeal of Nana-chan by putting her in as many scenes as possible to feed the kawaii obsession of their Japanese market. In the first series, she was naturally cute, adorable, and wise beyond her years; in Hotman 2, she was forced to act cute, adorable, and wise beyond her years. And as far as the older actors/actresses are concerned, forget it. For example, it is embarrassing to see someone like Takashi Sorimachi who has proven he can deliver a quality performance (see his portrayal as Oda Nobunaga in Toshiie to Matsu) act so amateurishly here.
