people would start schooling you about the alloted size for signatures which must not exceed 200kb.

For some people, probably.
But I can post the entire pic and be under 200KB without breaking a sweat.

yeah, mine aren't much either, but it's the animated ones that go beyond 200kb....

I've had to ping on a couple of fangirls who had overly large animated gifs... One of 'em has one that's pushing 1MB.
And she still hasn't changed it.
