Hahaha, this time romanians've done something good - they fixed the optic links, so I finished dl it in lightning fast 90 minutes, shortly after the net broke down again, now it's crap, but I don't care, because the drama is here .
@casper091: Japan is too far away from BG, so rarely any products of japanese entertainment industry reach us here (except maybe animes). One of this exotics was Azumi, I found it accidentally in my isp local server, this is how I came to know Aya. A year later I watched it again (and noticed her again), only this time got more curious to find info about her and landed here and in d-addicts tracker. Now i'm aya-addicted _________________

Just finished watching it. Wow, now that was different - prostitution and child abuse aren't usually themes in Aya's dramas, but it worked really well.
You could tell it was a great little piece of drama, even without the benefit of subtitles. So nice to see Aya tackle some grown-up material for a change.
Sounds great. I've been waiting for her to take some darker roles. Next I wanna see her in a Tsukamoto film (never gonna happen, I know...)

I second that. Only that it didnLt took a year with me.
ILm watching many Asian movies and so I got Azumi one day. But I didnLt fell for her at once, too. But she was very cute and so, as I had nothing to day a few days later, I looked around the net for Aya a bit and then it happend. Now ILm completely addicted, as well

Same here. I had no idea who she was back then. I had read some negative comments about the film, but I though Kitamura + ninjas + a cute teenage girl = a combination that can't go wrong. A few days later I started looking for info on her and found my way here.

Then how can aya's fans / Japan-maniacs beyond Asia buy Japanese magazines, TV-dramas, CDs etc.? Just by net-shopping? It's very expensive, isn't it?
And do local papers in your countries pose any news about Japanese entertainment industry? Does Japanese popular there?

Japanese entertainment isn't popular here (except maybe anime), naturally because no one speaks japanese. I've noticed that few doramas has been released in bg-torrent sites, but hardly get 3-4 downloads each.
For various reasons credit cards aren't popular in Bulgaria, so online buying isn't an option. Besides because of communism, we aren't used in buying legal stuff anyway (this thing changes veeeery slowly), local shops offer only limited range of western blockbuster movies and very few foreign music (on Blakan peninsula vast majority listens to local "folk"). So if you are japan-maniac and want something specific, your only chance is to search in p2p networks. _________________

ILve got no shop around with japanese merchandise, mags, CDs etc. I get my stuff only trough ebay and online shops. It probably wouldnLt be that expenive if the postage wouldnLt be so high
And there is nothing about japanese entertainment in our press, as well.
We got plenty of Shops with asian food and mangas/animes are popular but not j-pop music or asian movies/dramas...

well freefall ... actualy here around Berlin it's quite okay. there ARE a few shops that carry music-stuff and/or magazines, but mainly quite expensive though ... haven't really bought much there at all recently (aka: last three years ) ... at least there is ONE nice store here that sells lots of jmusic (mainly jrock), even concert-dvds and such ... but for sure they sell anime & manga as well. prices are ... okay ... for imported stuff, but still i prefer ordering online &or ebay . it's that thing called NeoTokyo -> they also have a local store in Munich and an online-store.

have fun, genji.
Well, ILm in Berlin next week. So this is interesting news
ItLd be cool if you could give me a few addresses where I might find some Aya stuff. Mainly mags will be interesting.
I know "Grober Unfug" where they had some CDs and lots of Mangas/ Animes. At least when I was there last time about 2 Years ago. And I was in "NeoTokyo" last April. But they only had some CDs and Animes. Unfortunately no mags, PBs etc. If you happen to know some other shop where I might find mags or PBs itLd be great if you could give me the address

Heh, you can buy both Azumi and Azumi 2 on DVD in HMVs in the UK. I don't think Japanese pop culture is popular in the mainstream, but it's having a big impact on 'geek' culture here at the moment. You can buy lots of Asian films and anime.
BTW, qoogirl is subtitling Tsubasa - should have subtitles for Aya's episode by Wednesday
Some thoughts on the first episode of Tsubasa:
First of all; the bed scene was, as expected, nothing to worry about. No explicit actions and just AyaLs bare shoulders under the blanket. There isnLt even any kissing on the mouth. He just kisses her neck a bit. Nevertheless it was strange to see her in such a scene.
Like Phinn already said, the drama is about prostitution and child abuse. I wonLt do any spoilers here. I just want to say that Tsubasa is really very mature and serious. Nothing like most dramas Aya did till now. Her performance was very good. Probably the best and most challenging acting she did yet. Aya can really be proud.
In the beginng she looked very elegant like im some photo shootings from 2005. But later in the episode it was the Aya we all know and love.
here are some quick raw caps I made. If youLre interested in more I can upload more

Just finished Tsubasa, didn't understand anything, but this to be expected, since my japanese is on zero level, good that subs are coming. Also the "bed" scene is... how should I describe it, well as we say in bg - slaba rakia /weakly-poor-watered alcohol/. _________________
