arcticbleue: Hikaru turned 15 on December 2 2005, but I think he still looks somewhat younger. Why is it that Japanese people (or Asians in general) look a lot younger than they actually are? I've seen the latest pics of Arashi's Sakurai Sho and he looks like 16 or something.

I agree with Coffee Milk, it's almost sad to see how fast they're growing up. Then again, growing up is exactly what you want to do when you're 15 or 16, so I'm happy because I think they're happy about it too.

HikaruHareru, good question. Sometimes I wonder if they ever get into a fight or get mad at each other for whatever reasons. Or if Shoon and Taiyo get upset sometimes because they don't get as much attention as Yabu and Hikaru.


And Nathy_Yaotome, about Kinpachi Sensei: Shu (Hikaru) took drugs because he was constantly being beaten up at home and his life didn't work so well in general. When Takashi (Taiyo) found out he tried to help Shu by telling their teacher about it. Shu was mad, told Takashi they're not friends any longer, and since Takashi had problems at home himself at that time he couldn't think of anything better than jumping off the roof of his apartment building.

I really don't want to give away anything more, but don't worry, they all survived this drama.

I think, I read somewhere, Taiyo was mad at Hika about a game. They promised to buy the game together but then, there was only one left. So Hika told Taiyo to buy it together later but he bought it when Taiyo went to toilet...

I don't think they get bored of seeing each other so often. Do you get tired of seing your parents, brothers, sisters, etc. often? LOL I think it's good for them that they go to the same school because they can support each other if they have problems -like schoolmates bullying them for being Johnnys.

I do think Hoshino seemed kind of jealous of Yabu sometimes, but in my opinion Shoon and Taiyo are too kind and good-hearted to be jealous.

Edit: probably at school they have different friends as well.

Well, for example there's a Shounen Club video where the former Ya-Ya-yah (Hoshino, Naoya, Shoon, Yabu, and Taiyo) show the public how to do the deaf language signs of Sekai ga... and Hoshino looks at Yabu in a way that makes me think he might not like him very much, but perhaps it's just an impression. And I think he might have reasons for being jealous of him: he was 2 years older and had a good voice, yet Yabu was the group leader.

With regard to who would be more likely to be bullied... let's hope none of them are bullied, of course but Taiyo is just too naive for his own good, and I get the feeling that Shoon might have had some problem with some senpai (older Johnny junior member) because he's very distant with every one and I've never seen any senpai indulge him as for instance Jin Akanishi indulged Yabu and Hikaru when they were younger... and Shoon as a kid was 10 times cuter than either of them in my opinion. ^^

I agree with Irea about Taiyo and Shoon as the most obvious targets (and about Shoon as a kid being 10 times cuter than anyone else). But I also think Yabu might have had his share of being bullied. Not by other juniors or the girls at school, they all just adore him. But maybe by other boys at school. Boys usually don't like it if one of them is getting all the girl's attention, and they might have let him know that...
I can't imagine anyone bullying Hikaru, though. Well, they better not, because otherwise....

I think that even in Ya Ya Yah Shoon might not be very popular because at the special summary SC at the beginning of 2005 (3.6) all the groups get to talk a bit about what was memorable for them from the last year and in Ya Ya Yah Yabu first ask Taiyo then Hikaru and Yabu talk and they all sort of interact and laugh and then Shoon says what he liked and everyone is like "Yeah whatever lets ignore him" and no one laughs and theres that akward silence afterwards. Then again maybe I am just imagining things.

They did that? Poor Shoon... I think it's really unfair. I've noticed a similar behaviour towards him in several videos. Partly I guess he's too sensitive and a bit shy and is always kind of detached from the others, so people do not know how to treat him -it has happened to me-, but it's still unfair. Have you seen the handbells special? Shoon was having an awful time... heck, he was close to tears, and yet no one hugged him or encouraged him.

P.S.: Could someone tell me where to find that Summary SC of 2005.3.6? I'd like to see it, even though I'll probably feel like crying for Shoon. If somebody could upload that bit I'd be very thankful.

i can picture taiyo getting teased...I don't wanna picture any of them being bullied or hurt or anything though =(
but yeah...taiyo is naive but its pretty cute. like in the clips where the rest of the group members prank him (blaming him for breaking a vase or something and pretending like they are talking to an imaginary person)
