Hello everyone !!
I have some questions about going to Japan. Actually, I'm a french student in architecture (2nd year of college) and I'd like to go to japan for stufying during one year. but, unfortunately, my school doesn't have any international program with japan.
so I'd like to ask if any of you know some japanese universities which give courses in the domain of architecture and in english language and which could be open to new program of international exchanges.
I'm currently working about this huge project of going to japan, country where architecture is really important so it would be really great if someone who lives there or who knows some universities could help me.
looking forward for your responses.
please !!!
i don't have any specific information about studying architecture in japan as an international student but i do have a couple of ideas that may help you....
First, if you are in France (or whatever country you are studying in), I would contact that Japanese Embassy (in France) to find out some possible information on available programs.
Second, go to this website called Japan Study Support...it's for international students wishing to study various majors. It has a lot of information on different schools, programs, and schoolarships.
recently redesigned space on the 52nd Floor of the Mori Tower (where the Mori Tower Art Museum and Observation Deck are located)
I went here during the morning to check out the view and the musuem exhibit which happened to have a fashion display...but drinking here at night would be really cool...the super-high view of the Tokyo night must be thrilling.

It's kind of cool. I checked it and the prices are good. 270 yens for a sandwitch. They look oishii and the view looks awesome too.

wow that's cheap by japanese standards!
the view rocks...again, i didn't see it at night but i saw similar views at night when we stayed at the park hyatt shinjuku...their famous new york bar and grill restaurant (of lost in translation fame) is more than 40 stories up...it's just as stunning...you'd love it, man.

some cool new PR photos i found of the Park Hyatt Shinjuku
New York Bar & Grill (on the 52nd Floor, high above in the Tokyo night sky)
Peak Bar (on the 41st Floor, lobby level floor of the hotel)
Kozue Restaurant (hotel restaurant 40th Floor below lobby level, insanely awesome japanese food...the best i had in my life...but then again it was expensive but worth it. )
Girandole Restaurant (hotel restaurant 41st Floor, lobby level...I had an amazingly tasty breakfast there...the quality and freshness of the ingredients was unsurpassed from the eggs to the fresh baked bread, French pastries, etc. it was fuggin ridiculous...i felt i was living someone's life)
Lobby Level Atrium (the first thing you see when you walk out of the elevator on to the 41st floor)
when we got there we had to wait a few minutes for check in so they gave my friend and i complimentary champagne for making us wait in the lobby atrium......some of the waitresses were FINE!..note the amazing amount of natural light due to the glass sky light roof....awesome. )
Park Hyatt Shinjuku Hotel Library that you walk past in order to approach the Front Desk or go to the separate elevators to access the guest rooms
Hotel Pool (located on the 45th Floor, 25m Olympic size pool under the sky light roof at night...again ridiculous)
Hotel Gym on the Park Level, 45th Floor...imagine hittin' the treadmill while looking down at the Tokyo below...i did...it's surreal...as you can see in the photo..all the treadmills are up against the glass walls and each one has it's own LCD TV...would you expect anything less from the tech savvy Japanese?? )
Park Hyatt Hotel Spa (although decadently luxurious, I did not personally partake )
Photographs of the Hotel Room

Nice.
But it doesn't top that chocolate restaurant. That place rocked.
