So Nino finally met mr. eastwood. Filming has started too! I feel so excited, imagine how Neener must feel. He must be very happy to have this experience in his life and very happy for him. Will he get to meet Speilberg too? Hope so

So no news on Nino yet but I read soemthing funny that our Ohno-kun have said. In one of his recent Arashi Discovery (Ohno has a 5 min slot on a Radio Station Mon to Fri, and it's called Arashi Discovery), Ohno mentioned now that there is only 4 of them in Japan, they will work even harder to compensate the absence of Nino. Then he said he hopes that Nino will make it big in Hollywood, so that he (Ohno) can be the next one to go there and make a movie with Tom Hanks!!

Muah-ha ha ha. Ohno-kun, I didn't know that you are interested in making movies?! I thought any work with long scripts are of no interest to you?!

Anywayz, I thought that was really cute so wanted to share with you.

Oh, also this morning I read another entry on Arashi Discovery: Ohno gave 3 different dates and asked us to guess which is his birthday. Then he goes on to explain that the reason for this little quiz is that he himself is really bad with remembering bdays. And he can barely remember the bday of the Arashi members.

So there he goes trying to recall the bdays of each member. First it was Sho-kun, okay no problem he got that quickly. Nino, he had to think a bit before saying it. For Aiba, he said it's an easy one (caz it's right before Christmas?!). Then comes Jun & that's when the trouble all begins. "I know it's in Auguest, but is it the 30th or 31st? Hmm...it's one of those days, or is it 20th? Sorry Matsujun!!" (<< I am writing this dialogue based on what I remember from reading it this morning, so it might be a bit off, will check it and edit it tonight if it's way off from what Ohno said, but that was bascially the idea and i thought writing this part in dialogue is more lively)

Ooops, I think jun will be heartbroken to find out that leader remembers everyone's bday except for his!

oh girls it's me again! It's only Thursday and I am on weekend mood already. My boss is not around this week so I had a lot of free time to sneak over here -_-///

Some of you have talked about it in your blog/lj already but not sure if anybody mentioned here: there has been rumours floating around that HYD season 2 will start filming early 2007. (Edit: Actually I think Hikaru-san did mention about this in one of her "spoiler" messages here a few days ago)

Before anyone goes ecstatic about this, please note that it's only a RUMOUR so far and there is absolutely NO OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION at this point!

I first read about this rumour from a Chinese dorama forum. The girl who shared this info got it from 2ch (probably the most popular forum in Japan).

The info about HYD2 on 2ch is provided by someone called "nana". In the past, "nana" have posted predictions + forecasts on various dorama + castings on the upcoming season. And she has been right most of the time. So when Nana posts her predictions, they are seriously taken. (rumour on 2ch is that Nana is actually the daughter of one of the top management in TBS).

So on HYD2, nana said that: 1) part 2 of the dorama will be filmed in early 2007; 2) a movie will be made in Summer/Fall 2007.

I have mixed feeling upon reading this. I love HYD (and my HYD boxset have arrived early this week!! Yay!!) but I am not really sure about having a dorama plus the movie too. I really worry that the storyline will be too dragging.

I am not a huge fan on pure romance drama (so I was actually really surprised how I got so into HYD and have totally fallen for jun and now all Arashi members). I just hope they keep the storyline interesting enough for another season. I love all the casts in HYD so I don't want to see the talents of the actors being wasted.

Also, looking purely at jun's career, spending most of 2007 doing HYD related projects means that he won't have much time to try some other different roles.

Getting involved in another drama will be out of the question. His last drama before HYD was Kimi Wa Petto in 2003, that was 9 dorama season in between!!! Such a long wait!! And I really want to see Jun taking the leading role in a drama soon!! (in HYD, he is still the supporting actor) Not to mention that I want to see him taking on more challenging roles!!


I am probably just thinking way too much here, afterall, this is only a rumour so far.

The fangirl in me is really happy to see more jun as Doumyji (< sorry can never get the spelling right) though!! Otherwise I won't get the HYD boxset when I can't even play the DVD on my player due to different region (T_T) So now my laptop DVD player is permanently set to play Region 2 DVD only. sheesh..for the love of Jun and Arashi! And this is giving me even more excuses to buy the other Arashi Dvds so that i can put my player in good use! Oh my poor wallet!!

oh look how far I have gone, back to the original topic: so yeah, it's only just a rumour for now, but hey at least there is some noise going on and hopefully we will get some solid info soon!!

Tokki Thx for explaining this HYD2 matter:D I can't wait... and actually I don't get this Japanese leading or supporting role things... I would never say Domyouji's role is supporting one... Shizuka, Rui... ok... but Domyouji Maybe it's not good to Jun's career then, but for me seeing HYD 2 means seeing a lot of JUN as one of main characters of it. I really don't get some of those japanese entertainment things ... like debuting system @@...

@Hikaru, oh my gosh you are making it sounds like you've talked to Jun in person!! Hee hee but I know you have your source of info I am not sure if there will be a movie for sure. But we know at least that there has been a plan to have one at some point. The info from nana was posted back in early Feb, so things might have changed and since I dunno Japanese (<and that is going to change soon!! I am going to start my Japanese class in May) I am not sure if there has been any updates from Nana. Anywayz, summer/fall in 2007 is still a bit far from now ne!

@muka, yeah, the Japanese Entertainment industry has their own system. In North America, a movie star is definitely more popular than TV drama star.

but I think in Japan, if you want to keep your popularity, getting involve in drama is really the key because that will help you to become a household name! This is just based on what I have observed from my limited dorama history, so anyone who knows better please point out if I am wrong in this :/

hehe Tokki:D recently I know more about dorama actors than movie ones:D
I prefer doramas as they're not so short as movies so I can enjoy them more... but I know what you mean... here TV series are popular, but actors playing at them... well they're not so respected... bu well polish series are bad:D

i think the asian culture leans towards "multi-taskers".. you have artistes who need to be able to sing, dance and act.. i noticed the same thing about hong kong and taiwanese actors/actresses n singers.. of course you have those who only sing or act in movies, but more often than not, they do a little bit of all three..

plus, i think the thing about dramas.. it's because you see them over a period of time and you watch as their on-screen character develops, you feel so much closer to them.. like you know them? so you tend to want to support them more?

hehe.. hope you guys don't mind my rambling..

btw, it seems like everyone is doing japanese here... hahaha i am too.. altho i'm still at the baby level.. we should all help each other out, ne? minna.. ganbaru!

Hi everybody!!! I was thinking of something the other day. It is a joke and maybe only those living in Southern California may understand it.

I am sure Southern Californian knows that since March 11, we got this huge amount of rain and snow level is at 1500 feet and the weather is upside down. I wonder if it is because El NINO arrived that day

Just a little joke that I think most people will not understand but just urging to share it and hoping that at least one person will get the joke. If not just consider this a Nino stalker's rambling

Ohno must be missing Nino terribly, haha. Yeah, now that their only four of them in Japan they must work harder, Ganbatte minna! Ohno is a bad rida, not remembering jun's bday But I saw like this one episode that where they on Utaban and they were talking about how Ohno gives bad presents, like he gave Aiba like fake fruits to display and Nino an alien statue or sumthing, lol.
There gonna be a GnoA special? yay! Can't wait for the magox2 hour special too!

and HYD2...hmmm..i'm not fimiliar w/ the manga, but what else can they add to the plot???? usually sequels are bad, but I'll still get it just for Jun (and Shun^^)
