I picked up Tucker Max's new book ( I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell ) earlier today after work. The majority of the stories I have already read (they are available at his website) but there are a good number of new ones that I'm looking forward to reading.

I found something, but I don't know if it's what you want. It's children books in Japanese and English, but not manga. Don't know if they're good... Sweat

Hi, thanks for the links to the sites.

Well, I remember just one story from grade 4. Our art teacher spent a year in Japan teaching and told us the story of a girl who had lukemia.

Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes, by Eleanor Coerr. Has anyone read that one?

This thread should be fine, so long as it sticks with Children's books. Though I have to admit I don't know how long this will get.

I finally got around to reading Perfume, the Story of a Murderer by Patrick Suskind. Good book! Strange main character. I did not quite understand the symbolism of his birth, life, etc.... But hey it was a good read. It was recently released as a movie with Ben Winshaw, Dustin Hoffman and Alan Rickman.

Remember discussing in class that Lord Of The Rings in some ways is similar to the story of Beowulf....some similarities Sweat Sweat

yea?
What you think of the story? I thought its pretty good. Kinda get the feel of couple myths or legends as I read it....

Fruits Basket. I left off around Vol.12 or 13.
I believe the anime goes up to Vol.10 or so. Love the serie, I'm hoping if the manga goes further, the anime will continue with a 2nd season.
