I honestly can't understand how did I manage to stay with this job for 2 years - when the bosses kept saying you buy the things first and then you can claim but claiming is only once a fortnight. Thing is, they're expecting like I have all the money in the world to spend for the company. When I said my budget run out, they would say - how did you manage your expenses? I definitely have to find a new job
That sucks. You have to choose between having food on the table, paying the bills or buying stuff for work and, hopefully, have the money back someday. _________________

I just got home from work. I'm really glad I work indoors now, especially when it rains like this.
There was this one customer who came up to the register, singing hymns and spouting every 10 seconds, "Hallelujah Jesus." I'm just glad he didn't have a lot of purchases. After I rung him up, he kept quoting all these Bible verses to me and saying stuff like, "You have to read the bible everyday" and "You should pray all the time." Goodness, he was getting all up in my face. I dunno is he was schizophrenic (dunno if that's spelled right) or not, but that was really scary. I'm just glad there was a security guard close by, keeping an eye on him. _________________

don't get me wrong here..but christianity is important...
but when one basically nags and throws it in their face like constantly, it just turns people off...i am not one to witness to others since i lack in that area, but I think preaching like that will only turn people off, totally...
it is by self witnessing and attracting a christ-like manner, will people be curious and wanting more information in regards to christanity.

christianity is just a mishmash of pagan rituals collected over the centuries to help convert non-christians by making christianity similar to the religion they're being converted from.

taht's what i tell evangelists that pester me.
i think religion can get to be a "sensative" subject, and i don't want this thread to become that..
evangelists...that was the word i was seeking to use yesterday..oh well..
anyhow...
I think when other religions like Jeh. witness, go knocking door to door, makes you not want to answer the door, like today...
i just think that evangelists can either turn away a lot of people, or introduce it in a manner that is non-threatening, and informative.

I didn't mean to sound like I'm anti-christian or anything. Because I'm not, I'm a believer. It's just scary when I get those kinds of customers, who are trying to throw all that stuff in your face and trying to preach to me like that when I already know what they're talking about. I was just afraid the guy would get violent or disturb the other customers. He was pretty close to edge, already. _________________

i'm a believer also...and it really annoys me when i see preachers out there yelling at others and trying to condemn them for being non-believers and laying the guilt trip...
people that try to force christianity will only turn off more people. I am sure there are many ways of evangelizing, but making someone feel bad about their lack of belief, and not presenting patience and understanding will leave people more confused and fearful of christianity instead of being more receptive to it.
we've been bought AGAIN, 4th time since i started.
Looking for openings elsewhere, just in case the overlaps in the two companies departments is fatal to my job.
good luck with the job search and hopefully your company won't overlapp your departments-consolidation is not a good thing...
i've been layed off several times, and fired....i think once....not very fun, also not to mention the few times i resigned, work sucks....
atleast you guys are employed and got the money coming in....
