I foresee another layoff in my company within the next two weeks or so.
The top dog is coming down and our numbers are doodoo.
If they lay me off, I'll collect and go to Japan for an extended vacation!

Bleh... We have a client that dropped off unannounced. He drove for like 6 hours to come here and the people he wants to see are gone until monday. Crazy

Now, he's trying to get people to eat with him at the restaurant. He's a real loud mouth full of himself (among other things Bleah ), so I'm hidding in my office. hehe

Boot out

Not if I have to eat with this guy. He always talk about how good he is, how he did business in the 80's and how he knows the president of every firm in the country... Rolling eyes Of course he carries his entire life saving in cash on him to show everybody that he's successful. The 2 hours he spent in here, he told the same old story twice. =T

that blows brah. but at least right now, HI is pretty good with jobs (so I hear...)

Quick hits: Help wanted in Hawaii
Quote:
Hawaii could almost change its state motto to "Help Wanted." At 2.4 percent, Hawaii's unemployment rate for January is the lowest in the country. Workers are in such high demand that businesses are offering better salaries, more benefits and extra overtime pay. Most of the open jobs are in construction, retail, transportation, utilities, leisure, hospitality and education.

But isn't the cost of living much higher in HI than the rest of the country as well, becuase of its remote location?

Good luck with that. You have better chances of finding something great when they're the ones doing the search. They can agree to your terms and a better salary is always welcome. Big Grin
