Just finished episodes 1,2, & 4 of "Tsubasa no Oreta Tenshitachi". For those who haven't heard this is a series of 4 dramas from short stories (of the same title) by Yoshi.

Suffice to say I like them enough to want to know more about the book. At the rate I'm learning Japanese it'll probably take me 2 years before I'm really able to understand it... Sweat

Ep 5 complete!

I hope the wine was only grape juice, because they'd be alcoholics by now. Maybe they don't even remember shooting this drama. hehe Drunk

I watched Tokyo Friends with soft subs. I'm sure they're somewhere on DA.

Just finished Bus Stop, a 2000 dorama starring Naoko Iijima and Teruyoshi Uchimura. I thought it was mediocre and about 3 episodes too long. I didn't find the lead characters very likeable, and the plot. . .well, there have been more ridiculous ones than this one. One positive note though, was the performance of Rina Uchiyama. We all know how incredibly cute she is and how unbelievably pretty she is, but unlike many of the other cute and pretty "actresses" her age, she demonstrates, at least in this role, that she can turn in a solid, well rounded performance. Here she handles both the comedic and dramatic scenes well. I've seen her in mostly fluff roles, so I enjoyed seeing how good she can be if given a decent part.

Yup. Not my favorite either. It was so predictable. Yet another show saved by Rina. Big Grin

she never really had a leading role eh?
i think her role in Moto Kare might've been bigger than Bus Stop, maybe a little.

Long Vacation Ep 6 complete.

It just seems rather funny when I watch and think that Kimura Takuya - voted sexiest man in Japan - is being rejected, lol

As a side note, his acting truly is the same across multiple dramas - he doesn't do things any differently in Good Luck!! and Hero, lol rofl

I'm watching now Koukou kyoushi1993. It's more dramtic, sadder, and more painfull as the other drama. I like it very much. And I have only 2 more episodes left! Shameful Cry
Poor Nao, I feel sorry for her. Puppy Dog Eyes How can a teacher do something like this?! But Mayu's father isn't better either. I hate him! How can somebody do something like that with his own daughter?! I't disgusting!
