Flying was pricey, and driving was looking more bleak with rising gas prices, so we just went to SF on BART.... but for some odd reason didn't go to Alcatraz. Never been on it, yet.

i'ts pretty bleak, you didn't miss much, and if you didn't make reservations, the tour times are very limited.

I only live about an hour from SF and I never took the BART until like a week ago, haha. Exciting stuff.

yeah, bay area bart is nothing exciting...

for a good experience, try the Shinkansen, JR trains of Japan. Thumbsup
