Great pictures. I want to live in the penthouse over there. Must be expensive... I checked a few appartments in Tokyo today. 12'x30' for $1200 a month. Anything less than this you don't even have a bathroom.
yeah that fotographer took some really great shots! that is one clear day atop the mori tower....nice touch with the rooftop lawn....actually quite common in japan...that residential tower in the picture must cost a fortune to live in...

that's a bit much but long train commutes aren't uncommon in japan...like ppl living in sendai or further out...commuting everyday by train...as much as 2 hours to work and 2 hours back....brutal. still beats l.a. traffic....that is if you have a SEAT...no way in hell would you stand for an hour or so on the train...i'll kill somebody first before that happens...
I couldn't stand it. Not even if someone was groping me the whole time.
At least you can sleep a little bit in the morning, but still... wasting 4 hours of your day in a train when the average person works 10 hours a day (I think). There isn't much time left for anything else then sleeping. _________________

that's why everybody gets so friekin' drunk there....to ease the pain...as you yack and stumble to make the last train home.
the tower pictured in the photograph...check out the gallery link to see the interior of the apt. it's friekin' ridiculously gorgeous

Wow.
Nice services too. It's like an hotel. A few extra like the wine cellar, fitness room, pet care and optional Pest control and disinfection. When renting a place at more than $100 000 a year you'd better not need this service.
I'll take the 4 bedrooms at 2,440,000 a month. _________________

Unless you're a movie star, a drug dealer or Livedoor's president nobody can afford that. I'd love to spend a few weeks in there though.
Too bad my budget would only allow me a room in a maid cafe at 10$ a day.
right there with you....at least the maids will call you master and pour the milk for your ice coffee....you'll feel like a king as you look around your castle.
