Yea, I found Nurse Aoi to be kind of blah. It wasn't extremely bad but wasn't that good either. Somewhere a little bit below the halfway point for me. Ishihara Satomi is really cute but I didn't really care for her in this drama. I think the only thing I really liked about this drama is the theme song. Hehehe.
Oh yea, I've seen waaaayyyyyy worse than this one. Do I really have to mention all the sibling incestual and teachers sleeping with students dramas again???
i see you and i are of like mind on this subject i haven't seen H2 yet but i hear her performance and the dorama overall are much better.
although she had a small part in kimi wa petto i thought her performance was more engaging than in nurse aoi...yeah i agree she's cute, beautiful in fact, but she didn't have enough supporting players or substance around her to make it a memorable show in my opinion.

yeah, i suppose some actors/actresses carrying the supporting cast better than others...
a good acting cast will help the j-drama, but if the storyline sucks, or lacks depth, it will fall, and the rating will suffer...

I saw H2 and I liked her a lot better in that one. The story and all the cast in that drama were really good, so I enjoyed it a lot. I really liked her character in that one. Really cute, honest, and kind of ditsy. _________________

Him in Yoshitsune was really Sh*ty.
Haven't seen him in one good drama
Though seeing him having to walk around pretending to be a girl was rewarding. I thought he was a real one
Yup. Hideaki Takizawa is one very bad actor. But he has been in one good drama that I can think of.
News no onna 1998
Of course, Honami Suzuki and Kyozo Nagatsuka were the stars of that show, and Takizawa was just "the kid". But it was a good show.
thtl
Re: Tokyo Friends. Not a good show. The girl they gave the lead to just didn't have the chops.
But as you have it... keep watching for Yoko Maki. She plays Ryoko, the drunken office lady. Wonderful actress, and she pretty much takes over the show in the later episodes. If they'd just made it about her character and edited out the rest, the show might have made it to prime time.[/i] _________________

Yea, I agree. The only reason I liked "Boku Dake No Madonna" because it was really funny. At least to me, anyways. And the only reason I like Tackey in general is because he's soo gorgeous. Hehee
He was pretty good in Taiyo No Kisetsu, and that's because it's so different from his other roles. His character is actually intriguing, although a bit scary. And overall, a pretty intense drama. That upped him on my scale. _________________

Just finished "Tokyo Friends". While I won't be rushing back for a re-run, it's really not as bad as I expected from the infamy. I can't make up my mind on labelling it as rip-off of "Friends", or a hugh promotional MV for Otsuka Ai. Nevertheless the music was not at all bad.
The acting was nothing to write home about. I must agree though that Maki Youko stood out from the gang of girls, acting and statistics-wise.

Right in the middle of "Summer Snow" (finished episode 5). Beautiful story with some very nice acting from Hirosue Ryoko and Ikewaki Chizuru. Not that I don't like Dohmoto Tsuyoshi but his facial expression hasn't changed much since his Kindaichin days.
just finished the whole series kimi wa petto - same-old same-old older woman-younger guy relationship with a rather unusual twist - once you get past the premise of having a human pet.... the story is pretty much the usual, in fact, Anego feels rather similar to this come to think of it
anyhow, dunno how i got in the mood to watch this series in the first place but maybe i needed a distraction from my hwk today _________________

personally, i felt Kimi wa petto was just ok....i actually lost interest in it while in the middle of the series, but regained motivation to finish it towards the end. The acting was ok, but i felt it lacked some depth and the storyline..was just ok...
I haven't seen Anego...was that more interesting?

I've just finished "Summer Snow" and kind of regretted starting it - I can get emotional watching dramas and tend to avoid those with sad endings.
The acting was good in general. Special mention goes to Fukuda Mayuko, a.k.a. Yukari. She looked very familiar so I checked her up - she was one of the major supporting actress in Jyoou no Kyoushitsu and I liked her very much in that drama. Watch out for her, she's going to go places.
I'm watching now Dragonzakura! It's so funny sometimes, almost like Gokusen, but not exactly like that. When they are learning English from english songs it's so funny! I like this drama! _________________

i'm sure it has its moments...
but a real tear-jerker is Sekai no chuushin de..that one was sad..very sad..
