Love Hina would be cool  . It's easy to do anyway, and really funny. Not to mention some of the perverted humors in that anime   . All they need is to pick suitable actors/actresses for the characters, and they are good to go.

oguri shun might fit well as arima but i cant really think of a girl in that age range to play miyazawa - the closest i can think of is inoue mao but even she doesnt quite fit in that role.

Yakitate Japan would be nice.....but i'd be pretty upset if they end up doing a horrible job on this one 
Bleach seems more fit for a movie then drama imho.

yeah....seems like a lot of mangas are made into j-dramas too
those you mentioned....Fruits Basket, Yakitate, should be interesting.

Yup Yup. You got it right 
He's one of the Smap members who played as Son Goku in Saiyuuki as his most recent drama. If you've seen SmapSmap or Bistro Smap...whatever its called...You'll see that him and Nakai are the funniest of the group.
Have you seen the SmapSmap ep where Aya was on it?? if not, I'll ul that next and post the links in the Aya thread so others can watch it to.
You'll see what I mean by Shingo being a funny man
