"Sekai chuushin de" doesn't work for me. It's basically a puppy-love story that has no closure (for Sakutaro). I'm more into "Ima, Ai ni Yukimasu", even though it has a lighter atmosphere, or "1 Litre no Namida" because both of them involved sacrificing for those you love. Sakutaro was basically just wallowing in self-pity.
Personally I believe all love affairs are memorable - it's how one conducts oneself when the love is over, or interrupted, that makes it mediocre or epical.

Yeah, her performance there is really impressive . This drama should be her big break in the drama and movie scene. _________________

Can't see the pic of Kitagawa on Sawajiri's thread . But I searched for her pic in google and yeah, they do have some similarities . Haven't seen any dramas or movies of Keiko Kitagawa yet _________________

We just picked up High School Teacher and watched the 1st ep.
Not sure if I want to watch the rest. Funky direction, they're trying to say something existential I think. _________________ - Douglas

impossible....just finished watching anego and rondo...i really like ryoko shinohara but i'm sick of those older woman - younger guys doramas...it's fuggin' played out already.....
just started watching H2...oh man, satomi ishihara is much much better in this role than in Nurse Aoi...which pretty much sucked...but it's because the story is much better and she has a much more talented supporting cast....but i think the role is more becoming on her as well....despite the fact that the doramas where only released one year apart...i feel this show was much more successful in conveying its themes and emotions than in nurse aoi.....much better.

the fact of the matter is that kimi wa petto is based on a shoujo manga as are far too many dramatizations these days...so it's not going to readily appeal to male audiences....but yeah kimi wa petto and anego are definitely in the same vein.....i did appreciate anego slightly more because i felt it was more insightful and a bit more realistic (for obvious reasons)

methinks your lack of interest is justified....last couple of doramas i had to force myself to finish...never a good sign....i am enjoying H2 but moreso, Attention Please...Aya Ueto has obvious comic talent.
