i agree and admitted to as much in my review of the dorama...but the overall presence of the show....weak and baffling....it's definitely obvious it's a shoujo manga dramatization...when i was in japan i remember talking to this girl who said it was a really popular manga...

far from redeeming the corporate effort, i agree with shindou...it's odd and ill suited....classical music where the protagonist is a spineless dork.....unbecoming...
The notable exception being the use of "The Imperial March" as Jinkama's theme in "Densha Otoko". I know this piece is also a soundtrack but it does carry the structure of typical classical music.

Just finished "Kimi wa Petto". The plot is unusal and the drama, on the whole, quite entertaining. I own a pet (dog) so there are finer points about canine behaviour that I can relate to.
More surprising to me is that Sakai Wakana (Fukushima) acted out her character quite well - previously I didn't think gravure models can actually act.
One minor point piqued my interest - in one scene Momo just finished a drink (disposable carton) and was throwing away the trash. As he was putting the empty carton into the trash bin he sub-conciously pulled out the drinking straw and throw it into another bin. It seems he was separating recyclable and non- trash. Told you a bit about Japanese culture, doesn't it?

Soudesu. Are you into collectables, or just Sakai Wakana?

that i agree with, moreover the tongue in cheek joke is great in that the music comes from a SciFi movie.

well, both kinda..interests in anime figurines, anime, gravure/j-idols
not really into Sakai, just thought the rare Sakai figurine would be interesting to have, but I do collect Anime Figurines, i have a glass cabinet full of them, and a closet too.

hehe, u should go to toronto where there are grey bins for newspapers and paper products, green bins for organic waste, blue recycle bins for cans/bottles and the like and of course, last of all, garbage _________________

In HK the government also had this trash-segregation thing going. We have blue for paper products, yellow for metallic items, and brown for plastics. However it is a bit half-assed and I don't think many people care enough to do it.
In China it's a bit simpler - recyclables, non-recyclables, and toxics. However there is little indication of which type of trash belongs to which category, so even less people cared.
