i have finally started watching H2...this is a wonderful coming of age story....it's a great gakuen dorama that doesn't resort to the tired, hackneyed contrivance of illicit teacher-student relationships or other similar device.

satomi ishihara is great and i feel this role lets her shine as an actress much more so than nurse aoi......which they should have called nurse warui cuz it was not a good dorama....

I should be able to start watching Ace wo Nerae tonight. Aside from that, I'm still watching Ganbatte Ikimasshoi.

from the thread,
info on Nurse Aoi week by week
Nurse Aoi 16.4%_13.8%_14%_15.5%_14.7%_15.4%_14.8%_12.4%_13.4%

not sure what the avg's were, but that seems decent to high in ratings, not saying that it was good, cause i haven't watched it yet...

what is considered high, a rating of 24%? or higher.... Head Scratch
what is acceptable ratings to the Japanese? just curious...

those aren't high ratings...i'd say they are mediocre at best...rightfully so, the dorama wasn't that good...at all.

20% at the least would be considered good drama and 30% is great I think.

I'm quite surprised with some of the TV ratings for dramas of this season.
Some of them seem lower then I would expect and others higher Sweat

Pride hit 25%. Pretty close.

Mr. Takuya is a talented actor, but I think all the characters he plays have similar personality. Guess i need to see more dramas of his before I can conclude that.

Makes sense that Internet, Cellphones, and all this kinda good stuff plays into lowering the ratings for dramas.

then even top caster....is not among the top j-dramas, but top in it's list...could it be that the selection for this season is not appealing to most viewers? with ratings like that... Head Scratch

An old 'Queen' song was called "Video Kills the Radio Star", and now we have internet-based media threatening traditional visual media - I suppose what goes round does come round.

his older doramas such as Long Vacation and Love Generation...hit over 30%..cuz he started his career loong before the various other distractions currently present in our society....having said that....it's also a testament to his acting ability

the boy got skillz.

Speaking of his earlier dramas, I was looking the list of dramas he played in and this one seems interesting.
http://www.jdorama.com/drama.40.htm

All them Smap members in there along with Hirosue Ryoko and Matsu Takako. I would like to watch this one, but I wouldn't have the slightest clue where it can be dled Sweat
