Watching Ganbatte Ikkimasshoi right now..at first I found Anne annoying but as the series goes on...I'm likign her...she's funny and just so darn optimistic _________________

Yeah, I think she grows on people. In Stand Up she started out being really dorky and annoying, but as the series progressed she became the "love interest." It's a cool show if you get the chance to see it. Very funny and a little sad.

That's all I have for now. The hotspring scene is in the next episode. I don't think I'm gonna take any pictures though. It feels dirty, since some of them are minors... Anyways, has anyone seen any of Anne's other dramas/movies? Which ones did you like?

i think it depends on how many people comment/provide support to a thread...i post on quite a few different ones...this one has been quiet until you have been contributing... nice screen caps of Anne.
i am not sure what other j-dramas she was in...the only other one i saw her in was Stand Up...
I think she was recently in the movie Initial D, but i haven't seen her in that one.

She was good in Initial D. Like I said earlier, though, I'm ticked off that they dubbed over her. Her character was much different than the "innocent" types she usually plays. She looks good in a bikini.
The first time I saw her was in the movie Returner. She was a bit younger then, but she did a great job. I loved that movie. Somebody once said it was like "the Terminator meets E.T." It may be a little cheesy in parts, but I like it anyway. I think she won some sort of award for "Best Newcomer" or something for the movie.
Of course she's in Stand Up and Ganbatte Ikimasshoi...
Although not visible, she did the voice of Ray Steam in the animated movie Steamboy. She can be seen in the bonus DVD content in an interview. Pretty good movie. I had to watch it twice to really appreciate it.
Umm... I think that's all I've seen her in. I'm looking forward to seeing Namida no Sprinter. (I believe it's a tv special. She plays a blind girl who runs track or something? I don't know, but it looked interesting. She did it after Ganbatte.)

Ooh, I found some pics! Apparently they're from 2004. Here is the page I found them from, along with some dialog from the event. I'll go ahead and rehost some of the pix in case the site goes down. I've just run into like 5 sites in a row that no longer exist. I'm digging the outfit.

i thought she did a good job in Ganbatte Ikimasshoi...and was the lead in that one....even if i felt the j-drama itself was....just ok.

I've only seen Suzuki Anne in "Hana and Alice". While she's not really my type I enjoyed her performance in that movie. IMHO "Ganbatte Ikkimashoi" is more run-of-the-mill teenager-do-good and did not really give Suzuki a chance to act as I know she can.

I guess I haven't really contributed to any other artiste topics yet. That's because I'm a noob, and I'm more familiar with Suzuki-chan than anyone else. I've been lurking around the Aya thread though... Good stuff in there. Anyways, I don't know if this thread will stay alive, but it's been fun.

yeah...it was hard to finish off Ganbatte....it was kinda slow...
but Anne is good..
