Yeah, there is an old saying, "No pain, no gain". However, you can do a shortcut to success. For money, there is always the famous lotto (but only a few lucky people are able to be rich by this) and for losing weight, you can take weight loss pills (it usually doesn't work, even if it does, there is a side effect). So, it's still better to choose the hard path, maybe painful at first, but later on you will realize that it's worth it.

its those people that haven't earned it, and just got seems like it all, everything.....they don't understand what it takes.

i think in someway, you learn to appreciate it more when you earned it, worked for it, and gain the respect from others, that cannot be matched....
winning money is one thing, and luck....to those who have it, but to earn it, is another...

Yeah, it's better to go through hardships to be successful. That way, when you have become successful, you would be proud of what you have accomplished.

in life...there lots of things can make one go estactic...extremely happy...like winning the lotto, or even just a little money, or getting a new job, a new relationship, finding something you lost, or even simply things, that make one smile and happy, good weather, a day off, a new j-drama you like....

life has its ups and down....

it's how we react to them, and keep content and happy with oneself, which is the key to self fulfilment...and i would like to add, atleast a Christian perspective, God....has a big role in contentment, happiness despite lifes ups and downs...

happiness is all about how we react to life, and our attitude towards things.
