realized i forgot to comment about the Pi incident and lipsyncing..hmm, actually i didn't know of the incident till i read it here (thanks Ryo-chan for the translation). i guess i agree with what others have said. No one is perfect and the fact that they do try to sing live even if there is a backing track..so we must give them credit for wanting to try and better themselves. i personally find Arashi's singing to be fine...each member has their own strengths and weaknesses..and i totally give them credit for trying to sing live in concerts and plus they are composing more music. i'm pretty good now in terms of recognizing Japanese music industry is slightly different from say, HK or Taiwan. Cuz actually, i'm really big on ppl composing their own music and MUST sing live in shows..cuz that's the sign of a true artist. However, having said that, i understand under certain situations..lipsyncing is crucial especially when u are dancing and huffing/puffing. so i guess bottomline is if an artist is trying and does show they have talent in music..then i'm good with it regardless of the playback, backing track, lipsync..etc..whatever production terms they use! haha, ok i'm done rambling! ^^
