I wanted to start a thread on Fashion. I did a quick search to see if anyone did a thread like this and no one did. It was a quick one.

I've been a fan of Japanese fashion before I got into Doramas. I was sparked by seeing pictures of Hyde. I love the sense of fashion some of the Japanese stars have. It seems so different from American fashion because of that fact that the stuff the Japanese wear looks so ordinary but yet they somehow they make it so flashy or so nice looking. Like the Flannel shirt Kamenashi wore in Nobuta wo Produce. Who woulda thought you could look hot in Flannel?

I'm a fan of Military wear. I read it was more of a Girl thing in Japan than a boy thing but thats cool with me.

Discussion anyone?

As long as you don't start wearing rat fur, skin, or whatever like Yamapi and Jun. Don't got the picture to post, but some here do.
If Triky senpai sees this post, he'll post the picture to show you Victory! Peace!

nah stopping to take pictures of random ppl would have been a bit much....it's a great to take pictures when you go on vacation but if you were to stop and take a pic of everything you thiought was noteworthy you'd end up making yourself misearable because you'd be halting too often instead of just soaking it all up, you know.

trust me i'd loved to have taken more pix but i don't wanna stop every three milliseconds; that's wack! plus when you go out and drink/party/club at night...you don't always wanna have a camera with you....that's a drag...but thankfully cameras today are much SMALLER & lighter than they used to be.

of course there is some influence but the japanese have their own fashion sense which is much riskier, much more avant-garde than here in the states, at least when it comes to street fashion....they set the trend in a lot of ways...

you wanna see some wild shiet....go here

http://www.style-arena.jp/index_e.htm

(^^this website is GREAT it breaks down fashion trends by Neighborhood/Area in Tokyo...you know the urban street fashion, the ppl who love the high class brands like Gucci, Prada, LV, the ppl who are just really funky, etc.

http://japanesestreets.com/ (another great site with wild fashion photos)

japanese are really into fashion and don't forget they spend their money on other things....since they usually have really small homes/apts and usually no car to speak of (because almost everyone takes the subway) they spend money on other things...like fashion, tecnhnology, and aya goodies hehe
