I'm not watching any jdoramas now......but I'm thinking if I should start watching Lunch no Joou or should wait for the subtitle of episode 11 before starting it _________________

That's exactly my point. However, I did scan some episodes just for a preview a while ago, but I didn't give in to temptation and decided to wait for the subs to be completed. Mr Green

Oof-Da!! The download is finished and I get to watch the Tiger & Dragon Special! Thank you! On another note: I'm not sure whether to put this in the Dorama thread or the Movie thread, but since they came out as TV Drama specials, I'll stick it here. Tokyo Shock has released Ken Watanabe's 1990s series "Baian The Assassin" They're putting them out as movies, but actually they were Samurai Drama specials starting in 1991 and going on through most of the decade. Netflix has put out 3 of the 4 volumns so far, but if you're not a netflix user you can probably get them at the video store since Tokyo Shock is pretty much everywhere these days. (They're also available at amazon.) It's listed as a "Jidaigerki" series, but Im not familiar with that term. The series started out in the 1970's as The Shogun's Shadow" staring Ken Ogata. And they made it into a few movies. Then Ken Watanabe took over the role in the 1990s. Baian is based on a series of short stories by author Shotaro Ikenami. They're about an 18th-century acupuncturist named Fujieda Baian who subsidizes his charitable medical services to the poor by using the same skills as a paid assassin to take out villainous types. These are not comedies, or love stories. But if the rest are as good as the first one (which I watched last night) they are worth getting for the samuri freaks out there. _________________ Manga is to Literature what Graffiti is to Art

Jidaigeki means historical play..refers to period films...used interchangeably with "chambara" which usually refers to sword fighting films.
