yeah, and after that he said something like: "everytime Bergkamp scores, I mean it's never an ugly goal" (ie. they are all outstanding goals)
Arsenal will be missing Bergkamp alot, especially Henry will miss his buddy up front. not only could Bergkamp score goals, he could give the best through-pass through a defense too

Ah, they didn't play Ruud because he's shitty striker and I hate him.
unlike Bergkamp he makes really ugly goals, 50% are tap-ins (not sure if you call it that) or rebounds. but hey that's a skill too..I just happen to dislike that kinda striker. I don't think he scored a goal from outside the 16.
as for the reason he didn't play: the manager thought he didn't bring much in the first few games at the Worldcup. And I agree, but that's not Ruud to blaim: he's not known for being a technical genius like Henry or Bergkamp, also it's the system to they are playing. When playing 4-3-3 with wingplayers Robben AND Van Persie (you've seen them in action) it doesn't matter which striker you put in, because the wingers are dribbling fanatics the striker will never get the ball. Ok, I think I have to rephrase that, it's not the system to blame, it's the wingplayers haha.
normally when you play 4-3-3 the wingplayers job is to dribble to the backline and pass the ball to the (only) striker.
blah, I hate how Holland performed. The team was unbalanced, because he played the wrong players in the wrong spots (especially the midfield) and as much as I respect Van Basten: he has failed miserably as a coach. the things he said after the tournament were ridiculous and he can even stay. they even offered him a new contract! wtf
I mean come on, we went out the 2nd round. Even Brazil's coach had to go after being knocked out in the quarterfinals no less.

well seems like both Real Madrid and Bayern have put up a bid around ��10 million, but ManYoo wants nothing less than ��15 million. so there's still ��5m in it (around US$9m)
interesting fact: ManYoo bought Ruud from PSV Eindhoven for ��19m back in 2001. and he scored about 160 goals for ManYoo so far: that's alot.

man, i saw FC Barcelona play against Chivas Guadalajara yesterday...sold out 70,000 ppl in attendance. the game was blah until Ronaldinho started to play...you know you got love when everybody in the stadium stands up and goes crazy when you step onto the field....and everytime you touch the ball.
dayem, he's was awesome.
by the way, this was trippy, Kobe Bryant and his wife were sitting about 10 rows away with Antonio Villaragosa.

haha, see? when playing for Barca he shines (totally different compared to when he plays for Brazil) because he gets to do whatever he wants: lookaway-fake passes, flicks you name it. It's a blessing to watch him with a ball.
greatest thing is that he always carries this big smile, oftenly these star players become arrogant and forget to enjoy the game that made them famous to start with. not with Ronaldinho: you can see that he really loves football.
and oh, Ruud went to Real Madrid last week? good for him, hopefully he gets to play lots of matches. Sitting on the bench when his competitors are Raul, Ronaldinho and Robinho is no fun. and I think they have this italian striker (forgot his name) too.

yeah you're absolutely right....he played much better in this exhibition than he did for Brazil.

so van niestelrooy went to Real....man, they always get these big name marqee players. dayem they just got Cannavaro too! wow, they really have no excuses for poor play...they are always loaded with talent.
