hi~anyone here likes manabu oshio..he acted love revolution, marriage at 20 years old...
i think he has the gakkoi look..he also sings with a band called liv..what do u all think of him??

I think he's just ok. I haven't seen LR tho. I saw him in Hatachi no Kekkon and Yamato Nadeshiko. I think I saw him in one more but I forgot. But I haven't seen him do any "serious" acting that brings out his emotions and range of acting ability. He is usually a one sided character with no depth, or a supporting character. So I don't know how good he can be.

How is he in LR?

Well, his look will put him in certain roles, Being a doctor in Yamato Nadeshiko is a far stretch! Will you allow a doctor looks like that to treat you?! Not too convincing! The other friend of Oskye in Yamato Nadeshiko looks like a doctor.

Sometimes I think even Kimura looks too hip for some of his roles!

Well i have yet to see Love Revolution, but I thought he looked pretty good In Hatachi no kekkon aka marriage at 20. I like his acting and he's kind of cute.

I agreed with the comment that Oshio Manabu hasn't act for any serious role which can show his acting ability...

But I have seen his acting in Double Score with Sorimachi..although his role in this drama did not have a strong emotional element but he's quite good...and not forgetting his good luck....so kawaiii..

And you can actually see him kicking some b**t....

i liked him in hatachi no kekkon.. so kakkoii and really compatible with yuka..

but as i said before.. he mentioned that he hated acting.. with a passion and really actually prefers music.. that was when he was promoting his band.. he thought acting was like spouting everything from the script while music was more versatile.. therefore.. i won't want to see any actor doing anything he didn't like.. it's like when i watch the next oshio manabu show i'll keep thinking that he hated acting and feel uneasy throughout the show..

I've heard some of his music but i guess i can't relate to them cos i'm not too comfortable with too much profanies in songs.

I wondering if he really hates acting. For someone who hates acting, he is really in more dramas than he should be. He's been in more dramas for the past 2 years than some full time actors (ie, those who dont' sing).

Besides, if the argument is to do dramas to keep up exposure to push his music career... he's already pretty popular after LV and there's minimal need to keep on doing something you hate.

I think it's more of a "rebel w/o a cause" image he's trying to protray. You know some guys like the " i don't care 2 hoots, don't like it but damm i'm so good in it that i'm always sought after to do it" kinna attitude. If not, it could have been just a misquote. Perhaps the reporter asked him if he liked being a musician better than an actor etc...

Anyway, i do find him pretty cool. When i caught LV... Nao caught my attention intially but it was Oshio Manabu who monopolised my thoughts half-way through the drama.

yeah..apparently he wrote the songs himself~ the lyrics...he does less of the music~

i like him more as a musician .. but during interviews he tend to have this attitude... scary sometimes.. i guess the reporter could be quite intimidated.. hehe...

but his lyrics make a lot of sense...especially "Try"..anyway heard it before? if i'm didn't see wrongly.. in the PV... there was this painter.. it should be him.. and the mtv was really nice and a hint of tragic feel to it...try to catch it.. really nice~

yeah! totally agree with you about the "try" PV. It got me interested... "god, who is this dude? this song rocks!" not to mention that the PV was also superb.

He's rad! I just adore guys who are multilingual. That's why I also think Takeshi Kaneshiro is awesome neh! I feel Oshio Manabu is living up to a silent bad boy image to be kinda mysterious but it's ending up seemingly cocky~

heh heh, i love lots of jap actors, including kimura, naohito fujiki, toshiaki karasawa, ito hideaki.
manabu is really tall...and speaks really excellent english-americanised. Much better than any of the jap actors. Especially in the show " summer romance" with tomosaka rie, yummy! Didn't really like his role in LV though, was the pitiful desperate one. 'Double score'was quite fun, but no romance lah...
