Hey thanks, peeps
Well, unfortunatly as of this week my server has introduced pop ups which is extremely annoying and they never emailed about the change :/
Actually hakury, due to other commitments I find it difficult to keep the site up to date as regularly as I would like.
I'm actually thinking of getting more capable reviewers, I'll see how it goes. _________________
hello i am stupid & stormhammer, welcome to the club hahah i mean forum.. hey i listen to goa too, but not that much.. im more into acid jazz/trance slash electronic stuff hope you guys enjoy it here
That's cool. I like a lot of electronica and trance, but I haven't heard of acid jazz. I might just be missing out on some more good stuff. Even though I don't watch j-dramas (yet), I'm pretty sure that I will enjoy this site. I've already scanned through some of it and I've gathered that a lot of the people here are polite and helpful. I'm looking forward to interacting with you all and finally learning enough of the japanese language that I won't be a wordless cripple when I return there.
(and just like Arnold, I WILL be back. )

Well, I've been posting here for about a month now but I'll say a little about myself anyway. My name is Kev, I'm the most un-patriotic Englishman in the world.
I'm 26, I love Japan and my dream would be to go out and live there but that seems very unlikely right now.
I love writing and currently I am working on a novel set in Japan which I hope will get published, naturally - it's a way off completion yet.
I'm learning Japnese and I should study harder really - a new years resolution I think.
I have always loved Japanese cinema and music but it's only recently I have discovered Japanese televison drama. So far I have only seen TRICK and I'd like to see many more so this forum is great for info.

the problem with korean cinema now is that there are too many below average romantic comedy films and awful sci-fi movies that are just boring. Here are some must see gems:
Memories of Murder - thriller based on a true story of unsolved murders.
A Tale of Two Sisters - horror masterpiece from the ace, Kim Ji-wun.
Save the Green Planet - Don't let it fool you, it's not a comedy but dark humoured drama.
Christmas in August - Weepy, starring the ever excellent Han Suk-kyu.
The Foul King - Fun comedy starring Song Kang-ho.
Oasis - Powerful drama featuring a stunning performance from Moo So-ri as a handicapped woman who finds love in an unlikely fellow.
Public Enemy - Great thriller, with a welcome change of pace from Lee Jae-sung.
Guns and Talks - Fun comedy about 4 hitmen who live together.
Nowhere to Hide - Very cool action, comedy starring Park Joong-hoon.
Failan - Choi Min-shik and Cecilia Cheung star in this sad story of the love between two people who have never met.
By the way, I haven't seen any Korean tv drama series. Song Kang-ho and Lee Mi-teon are my fave film actors.
Well, I just registered today, so I'd better say something no?
My name is Tam, and I'm from California, which means I get most of my drama fix from Asahi Homecast and FCI whenever it airs on the weekends. I've gotten into drama one day because I was up late and noticed this show was playing Sakura Drops by Utada Hikaru, and I stayed up to see what it was. It turned out to be subtitled (YES!) so I ended up staying up to watch it. As you all know, that drama was First Love. I ended up staying the course during Asahi's programming and saw Otousan, and loved that show enough to track it down for several months later in order to get a subbed ver. of it. I then started watching FCI, and saw shows like Musashi, Trick, Satorare, Let's Fall in Love, etc. and figured this could be the biggest thing to hit me since anime. Anyway, I've been a big fan of things from the East for quite some time now, I love the electronics, the culture, the music, the videogames, the anime, and the drama, it's all so very unique and interesting to me. To elaborate, I've been a gamer since I got my hands on an Atari 2600, I love watching anime, and I abandoned the american rock scene after all the bands of the early 90's dissappeared and were replaced with "nu-metal" yech. lol Well, I'm attending college in hopes of transferring out to a UC school since I made the crazy choice of attending a high school that was several cities away from me, resulting in lack of sleep that translates into poor grades... But I'm hopeful that I can get back on the right track. I'd like to be either a musician (I play guitar), or to follow my lifelong goal of becoming a game programmer. Both would be better lol I could make the soundtracks to my games lol. Well, this is probably getting a bit long, as all my posts end up becoming on every forum I post on, so I'll end here!
I look forward to hanging out with everyone here and increasing my exposure to Dorama! Cheers everyone!
