i believe mari's doing work as a solo artist now. she hasn't stopped being a celebrity. you can see her frequent variety shows.
i think she quit because she had broken the agency's rule of no dating and felt that she had failed as a leader. she gave a statement about it on utaban _________________

wasn't it a mutual break-up because they were too busy? well at least she's still very popular so no harm done?
maybe they should make a special unit with the old morning musume members like nakazawa, kaorin, nacchi, yasuda, and yaguchi. they were always fun on variety shows and would probably have more success as a group again? _________________

That'd be great! Maybe it's just me, but they don't seem to have much success in singing solo. I know Yaguchi's been busy with drama lately, so maybe she gave up on singing...

The current rumour is she wanted a serious relationship and even talked about marriage. Apparently, that scared Shun and he ran away. We may never know the real story.... Like you said, she's still very popular and on TV alot. _________________

aya matsuura....she was never a MM girl right? i always here about her...i think she is 20 yrs old now...i first heard about her back during my first trip to japan back in '03, i had this huge pix i took with my camera of a billboard of her in Tokyo.

Well...........things like this happened to other idols and they lost some popularity......but yea, looks like once you're in the entertainment business over there, you play by their rules and it seems like they own every bit of you _________________
