Really?
I'm embarrassed.
no i do it alot...i'm not trying to be a snob....it's beacuse they put a dab of wasabi under the fish so when you dip it the sushi in the soy sauce...the flavors come together after you pop it in your mouth...
dood, EVERY does it man...but i've read in some articles that, you're only supposed to use soy sauce and not the wasabi-joyu for nigiri sushi.

wasabi-joyu...that's a big no no...chief would probably beat your ass....
they usually put a dab of wasabi under the slice of fish anyway....
the wasabi and soy sauce aren't supposed to touch.
wasai-joyu is traditionally for other foods like zaru soba
like i said, embarassing... good thing the chef was a friend of the ex...

Currently Watching God, Please Give Me More Time featuring Takeshi Kaneshiro (at 26) and Kyoko Fukada (17). It's really good, you definitely should watch it. If you liked One liter of Tears, this is a MUST!
Also, finished watching PRIDE...whoooohoo! i love that drama, Takuya Kimura rocks my socks! lol. VERY VERY VERY good drama.

#1 sushi eating rule: eat whatever you like!
I like a lot of wasabi, well horseradish, I just don't let anyone see me gobbling big chunks of it
But, someday, I do hope to actually taste real wasabi, not that green putty-like horseradish product we get here in the US.
who wrote that rule? the same fools who stab their food with the chopticks..and revel in their culninary knowedge and expertise when it comes to California rolls which they think are authentic Japanese food items...
I watched clips of Farewell Mr. Premier and I can totally see that Mitani influence when compared to his other drama, Ohsama no Resutoran (King's Restaurant).
oh man, the same type of feel to it, just started ep 1, memories of ohsama no resutoran come flooding back _________________

just finished ep 1, i think i'm going to thoroughly enjoy this dorama - the plot is just asking for trouble (humour, that is) and the King's Restaurant feel is there in the filming, the music and even some of the cast. Need my download to speed up a bit _________________

Started Attack No.1 for 15 minutes or so, but since I saw Ace wo Nerae last month and it's too similar, I switched to Ganbatte Ikimasshoi. _________________

Cool. Nice to see it's decent. I like the 1st episode so far...
As for Ace wo Nerae vs Attack No.1. In the 15 minutes I saw of Attack No.1, the cast is almost identical. Ueto Aya, Sakai Ayana, Morita Ayaka... (which is not that bad ). Instead of tennis, it's volleyball. I'm sure it's not a bad drama, it's just that watching 2 dramas with the same cast and same theme in a row kind of suck. I'll wait a few months before watching it.
*edit* If you meant, Ace or Attack No.1 vs Ganbatte, it's totally different... so far. _________________
