I have mixed feelings about this one. I watched it because of Yamapi-san. But, I didn't like how he was doing cosplaying on every episode. (It's not exactly cos-playing, but he dressed up a lot and reminded me of a doll. I hate to imagine that people watch the show just so they can see Yamapi dressed in different clothings. Anyways, storywise, I enjoyed it. Some of the tricks were interesting. At the same time, I find it unrealistic for Kurosaki to 'get' people all the time. You wonder how a young boy learned all these tricks if he suffered so much in his childhood. Anyways, I must say, I love the ending. It is unpredictable and I love Yamapi's superb acting. I've never thought he was a good actor (still, I watched everyone of his dramas). I was impressed with him acting as Akira in his prev drama - Nobuta wo produce. I thoughted that was the most suitable character for him by far. But after seeing this one, esp the last episode, I hope I won't hear anyone saying that he 'can't act'. At least, I feel that he did a suberb job acting. Also, I believe, this is the first time that I saw Yamapi being angry (of all the years that I was into Johnny's). It's kind of scary, but I feel sorry for him too.

Interested in what you all thought and saw.... |
You're not the only one to try looking at the new Janizu members a "new Takuya".
Stop searching for a new Takuya, this won't exist. Even YamaP wouldn't be qualified as someone else... And the ratings are talking, he's not even near of your average Takuya Kimura drama.
I have finished Kurosagi, at last. I have to admit I expected much better, I was probably so hooked up after NwP that I wanted to see YamaP again. Unfortunately, Kurosagi won't be unforgettable, but the ending was nonetheless fantastic.

Their respective characters played by Yamapi and Maki are totally different, and you can see a huge improvement in their acting. It's like watching a Mike Tyson fight, followed by a Steve Urkel fight. I'd definitely like Kurosagi much better. |
better yet watch Nobuta and don't watch Crapsagi.

Well, I would take NwP over Kurosagi any day because Kurosagi isn't something exceptional, nor special. Nobuta was. Each time I think of NwP I feel nostalgic but... Kurosagi? I even forgot what the first episode was talking about.
Wonder if they'll make a special. The ratings weren't bad.

mm..interesting debate..
well each person his/her own perspective n opinion..
hehehhe..
Yamapi played quite different role in NwP and Kurosagi..
it goes the same to Maki too..
in Kurosagi they played such serious roles while in NwP u'd expect some baka things..
I am watching both Kurosagi and NwP at the same time...
but i prefer Kuro to NwP
i need 1 more eps to finish Kurosagi..
i really look forward to watch the final eps..
it'd be very interesting
in NwP, i'd love to see more Pi.
i havent finished watching this..
so i cant comment which would impress me..
either one would be fine for me.. _________________

mm..not sure whether there'll be sequel for this
but even that i like yamap and would love to have the sequel, i'd prefer there wont be any
bcoz mostly the sequel wont do well as the original one (refer to Gokusen)
so i dont want to ruin the reputation or the image of the original one.. _________________

How do you know about Gokusen? Do you know that in Japan, Gokusen 2 is held in high standards, and often said to be better than the first one?
By the way, Gokusen is a +25%-ratings drama, Kurosagi is around 15 %, even a SP would be pointless.
Being a big fan of YamaP, I'd like him not to play so much the sorrowful guy...
