The only 'star' Takki resembles, IMHO, is the 'Death Star' in "Star Wars" - incomplete and blown to bits.

That's a grave insult to star fishes - at least they have medicinal values (in Chinese medicine). Come to think of it maybe you're right in a way - watching Takki act gives most people heart attackes, he does have medicinal value as an euthanasia agent.

I'd be happier once he gets taken off the top 50.
So many others can take his place. The guys from Kisarazu Cats Eye are better then him Victory! Peace!

Kyoko gives him a lot more than that - such as actions involving exhaling through pouted lips...

Hi, my name is Yusei, and I am very new to the concept of Japanese dorama. So, I was wondering which shows should I watch first to get a better feel for it. I'm also speaking in the general sense of what sorts of dorama would you suggest to ANY newbie? Are there any sorts of guides I should be looking for in order to learn more about Japanese dorama? I understand sometimes these things depend on taste (I personally don't like things dealing with sports or music bands), so if you could give a little plotline along with your suggestion, maybe newcomers such as myself could pick from that.

I'm sorry if this is a really vague question!

well you should start with something light..
so hana yori dango, gokusen, and nobuta wo produce
just type in the name on the search engine at the top right to see the sypnosis/plot.
I'm pretty sure you'll like those.

a Kimura Takuya drama is a good place to start. dramas like 'Beautiful Life' or 'Pride'.
Pride may look like a sport drama but after watching 2 or 3 episodes you'll see this drama is about the relationship between the main characters not hockey Smile

If you like High-School dramas, watch these: Gokusen, Great Teacher Onizuka, Dragonzakura, Hana Yori Dango, Strawberry on the Shortcake.

If you like Real-life dramas, watch these: Pride, Ai no Uta, Beautiful Life, Summer Snow, To Heart.

And if you like funny dramas, watch this: Kimi wa Petto.
