I've watched NwP now, but I can't really say it was a special drama. Sure it was fun, had some good moments and it had an interesting character (Akira, kon *-* ) but other then that I didn't found it special or dramatic like how I felt with for example GTO. _________________
maybe it is bcoz u heard from most people (or users) that it was a great/good drama
or u were given lots of spoilers
and then u r influenced by that
thus u got high expectation on it
but by the time u watched it, it was not like as u expected..
hehehhe
i dont know whether this "theory" applies to u
but i did happened to me
that's why i rarely read any spoilers or comments b4 i watch
im afraid to get disappointed later _________________
i wasn't impressed with the drama either...and i didn't read any spoilers too. Bought it because some people says it is nice. I do like akira in this drama though. He's cute! _________________

I just finished watching it myself, and I was quite impressed myself. Not quite because I thought it was the end-all drama of the world, but because I enjoyed it despite the overhype I received about the show. Of course, it hit a lot of soft spots of mine, especially since I'm dealing with certain things these days, like the trust of a friend, jealousy, change, etc.. The acting wasn't all that great, but I really liked the writing, even if it was formulaic.

Some of it didn't make a lot of sense, like the spirits at the school festival and the ending with the body... but over all good series.
Actually, I liked those little unanswered events that bordered on supernatural. They did it in a way that kinda forced the viewer (of any age) to wonder what to make of it, just as many kids do when they're beginning to find themselves. Of course, I think they were a little too old for such things, but I think the point was that part of growing up is finding that some things may never be answered.
I'm not religious at all nor do I believe in anything spiritual. But I think such events make for good plot devices when used correctly. As I said before, I really liked the writing.

long story made short.
me + my friend are going to learn it and perform it.
Agreed! It was the first JD I evah saw and it's the reason I got so hooked into Jdramas and Japanese culture (even tho I've been watching Animes for years now).
I think, because it was my first, I'll always like it best. _________________

Yea, that was pretty funny. If you like seeing Nobuta and Akira together, watch Kurosagi. They're both in that one and somewhat romantically involved. _________________

Do you guys still remember that scene when Shuji being the "background voice" when all the students in his class watched Sebastian Sensei went out with his Kimono's gal? I just figured out that it was Shuji's voice after i watched the drama for the third time 2 days ago... _________________

The endings of every episode were absolutly PERFECT I love how they had kame say the little quote things at the end thats why this show won like 20 awards lol. I have to watch this again this is probably the best Jdrama still.
