i subscribe to Travel+Leisure magazine and Singapore Airlines was ranked one of the top 10 int'l airlines, too.
almost took Singapore Airlines last time to Tokyo, but they didn't have the day, schedule i wanted available, so my friend and i opt'd for JAL, next time hopefully Singapore Airlines, if not, most likely JAL, they are about the same in Airfare, almost.
and yet another nice find from Tu, great info, and a place to stay out, if i visit the countryside..niigata is more countryside eh?
it looks nice at the one place. Have you ever visited Niigata? stay at that one place on the website?

And about my holiday there: does anyone know any decent hotels, not too pricey but still decent (with shower and all the basic reqs)?
HAVE FUN!!!!!!! Im going again next summer...too long to wait!
