Hi every1, let me intro myself, my name is Helena, i am a new member in this forum, and actually i just started watching japanese drama series about a week ago and I absolutely addicted to it, its so different with those korean drama which I use to like/watch, coz japanese drama has a very interesting plot story that can hook u up till the end, while korean drama bored me 2 death, actually b4, i didnt really watch japanese drama coz i found that they r really hard 2 understand, expecially japanese movies, some of them r extremely hard 2 understand, which smtimes can stress u out, therefore i nv really try watching japanese drama considering that i cant even understand their movies let alone their drama, but after watching SLOW DANCE and ORANGE DAYS, both of the series have completely changed my mind, i highly recommend those 2, not only becoz the leading actor is so cute, but e story is very interesting and u can learn a lot abt life from watching it, so guys, since im new here, can u guys help me by recommending me any good japanese drama? the one that got good rating, thanks a million guys! btw wat u guys think abt hana yori dango? nobuta wo produce? any good drama where e leading actor is tsumabuki satoshi? coz i completely adore him, so cute so talented so young some more!

if you like tsumabuki satoshi, you might like Lunch Queen, the food for sure looks scrumptious. hana yori dango was certainly a very enjoyable dorama, arguably the best of 2005. i'd also recommend watching long vacation if you liked orange days.

some other good starter doramas are GTO, gokusen, love generation, last christmas. and welcome to the crazy world of jdorama! Bonk

hmmm.....

Good Luck is entertaining and good.

Also GTO, Kisarazu Cats Eye, Tiger and Dragon, Attention Please.

Don't know any other drama Tsumabuki Satoshi in besides Lunch Queen.
I think the guy also stars in movies. I suggest you look for his thread in the Discussion on Artists section. You might find some good info Mr Green

non fans of Ryo and Sawajiri Erika and have seen 1 Liter of Tears......was it really that great of a drama. Saw the reviews and the rating by those who reviewed it.....a lot of 10s.... Sweat Sweat Sweat

I'm having doubts I'll like it.
I've been told to check it out....but i'm not really into sad dramas. Sekai no Chuushin is good, but its takign me foreever to finish Sweat Sweat

I also avoid melodramas like the plague, and took up "1 Litre no Namida" only because of the excessively positive ranting in the forum. I must say I've enjoyed it a lot - I wasn't expecting to see such good acting from a gravure idol, but Sawajiri delivered the goods. Give it a shot, you may like it too.

Are there good comedy dorama (available with english subs - *still needs them to a certain extend*), you can recommend? Would be great, if they are about school life, but it's not necessary.

I watched 'Gokusen' (1/2) and I started watching 'Okusama wa Majo' and 'My Boss, My Hero'. I like them all.

Tsuchiya: Than watch Great Teacher Onizuka, Dragonzakura or Koukou kyoushi. These are all really good HS-dramas.

Hi, i'm ling... i was browsing thru the Net to search for websites that introduce j-dramas....and found JDorama.com....this website is really cool cause it really gives all info abt the various dramas that u guys have watched...
i'm also a j-drama fan.... i've watched several old ones like love revolution (i like it), beach boys, long vacation, tokyo love story, pride (1 of my fav), and many more.
the latest one that i've watched is 1 litre of tears.... and it's really good!
it's so touching that i cried in every episode...
the sad thing is, i gotta watch it thru www.youtube.com cause i couldn't get any j-drama vcd here (in Scotland) and it's expensive as well even if they have it.
i've came across another one called ATTENTION PLEASE.... starring Ryo... wonder if there's anywhere i can download it....it's kinda a hillarious one.. Victory! Peace!

i'm currently staying at the hostel and the uni has set up firewall against all these downloading stuffs.... therefore, the only way i can obtain drama is from websites...sad case...
