Oh...I see. Yeah, I remember reading somewhere that Erika accepted the job of a bikini model as a investment for her future career. Wink
But for me, it was still kinda odd because her character in 1 Litre seemed the kind that was innocent, pure...you know. Then suddenly seeing her in all the bikini shots seemed Confused.

yea, i first saw that...and i was a bit surprised, but then again maybe not so much, since i learned that japanese girls do gravure modeling as part of their career to a step towards another direction.

Seeing Erika in Taiyou no uta, she seems a bit more grown up. Applaud

Yep. She sure looks more mature in Taiyo no Uta. She really can fit into most of her roles perfectly in my opinion. Applaud

what amazes me about Erika is that she is actually mixed, her mother is caucasian(white), and her father is supposively half asian, half(other race, maybe caucasian), so Erika is 1/4 Japanese.....but she certainly could pass for a full Japanese, atleast i thought so while watching 1 litre.....
but after closer inspection, she does looked mixed, but not 1/4 Japanese,......Head Scratch

Yep, I read that her dad was Japanese and Irish mixed. But two sites,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erika_Sawajiri and
http://wiki.theppn.org/Sawajiri_Erika gives different information on her mother. One says her mother is Algerian-French while the other states she is Algerian-Japanese. Head Scratch
But she certainly can pass of as a full Japanese...I couldn't tell she was mixed at all until I read about it... rofl

Haha, its about the same for me. In my opinion, she looks more grown up with long hair. Short hair somehow or another makes her look younger to me...But both looks portray her beauty well. Mr Green
