the Densha Otoko Deluxe SP was pretty dayem funny. i found myself laughing as with the original dorama. it's quite amazing to see a dorama have more than one special.....i guess it's evidence of how well-received this dorama was in Japan.

i watched half of it....saving the rest for tmrw.....it is classic, so so funny, love it.....rofl

yeah, i got some good laughs off it....it's kinda of cool when it's been a while since you've seen the original dorama in a long time....as you get reintroduced to all the zany characters all over again.

Hehe yeah, Ito Misaki is somewhat old to be paired with Kame. But there were many dramas that did this (old woman-young man pairing), so I guess this thing is already normal in Japan. Sweat Beaten

that's my point, my friend...this concept is overdone and tired already.....i detest it...

after watching anego, slow dance, and (from wath i've heard of Majo no Jouken which I refuse to watch because I hate Tackey)....enough already!

it's like seeing a billion gakuen doramas...i know numerous females on this board love that crapp...but i have more discriminatiing tastes....hell, i couldn't even stand Gokusen 2 after a couple of episodes....

repetitive plot patterns are insulting and boring to the astute viewer.....

I see. Well, I'm just watching it because of Ito Misaki, so we can say that I'm watching it for guilty pleasure Beaten Bonk

cool...don't get me wrong...enjoy it...but i have a discriminating standard that forbids me from watching even famous actors/actresses in stupid, hobbled projects.

as with slow dance...i was so enthusiastic about watching it given the incredible STAR power.....ryoko hirosue, eri fukatsu, satoshi tsumabuki, naohito fujiki, AND yuri ebihara....but it was less than i expected.

Well, you've seen so many jdoramas, so I guess it is only natural that you set some standards in watching jdoramas.

Yeah, Slow Dance is one of those powerhouse dramas, but lack in something (the story perhaps) and didn't satisy viewers that much.

don't get me wrong...there are many who have seen more than i but as you say, after watching a lot of doramas...you tend to get picky, right? ^_^

yeah.....i didn't hate the dorama...but i kept expecting that would be GREAT rather than just "good" ...but it wasn't. Sweat

i mean eri fukatsu, ryoko hirosue, and satoshi tsumabuki are ALL great performers. Mr Green

Yeah, with that kind of cast who have done great works, something great should have come out in that drama. Unfortunately it didn't turn out that way. Shake Head

I thought the j-drama Slow Dance was ....ok, nothing spectacular, just ordinary, and not that exciting....the plot was lacking, so i do agree with Tu....

i've seen my fairshare of them, and we all have discriminating tastes, views on what is good, and what we consider worthy of watching, based on OUR own opinions...

on that note, Densha Special ep, that was hella good, and so funny....worth watching...in my opinion. Applaud

i don't know why people like densha otoko that much... maybe it's just me that has bad taste, but don't ya think the whole chatting thing is a bit too much? and they cry sometimes and i dont understand why the hell are they crying... If they made it only in 8 episodes so it would be compact and get rid off the too much chit chat on the internet thing, i'll give a 10/10... but then again... i'm an amateur with bad taste. hwakakak

I found it amusing because Densha has been single all his life and doesn't know how to act around girls.
Yea....the singles ranting thread seems a bit odd and all but in a sense its no different then calling your friends or chatting with them on AIM, YM, MSNM, on the phone, etc...

I agree with you that at times, Densha's crying can be a bit annoying, but I still love the drama.
