Well, my first (and only) try eating nattou was more or less like all the gaijin nattou experince.
But ILd like to try it again sometime. And nattou curry sounds like it could be a bit more "eatable." But I wasnLt able to find any recipe. Does anyone have it?
yeah i didn't care for it much either...sorry i don't have a recipe but here's Aya talking about her favorite dish
Popular actress Aya Ueto, 20, currently starring in the hit Fuji TV drama "Attention Please," is the flavor of the month, so to speak. With her long arms and legs, she is sought out for many TV commercials and endorsements. How does she keep up her energy level? The secret is out: curry natto.
Natto has been a hot topic in the media recently. Nutritionists and medical scholars have been warning that more than half of middle-aged Japanese men suffer from metabolic syndrome, a condition that increases the chances of having a heart attack or stroke. They say that natto contains a substance called adiponectin which helps lower the fat content in human organs.
Although the benefits of adiponectin are still unpriven, the National Cardiovascular Center conducted a study in April which showed that fat content in blood (acylglycerol value) was reduced by an average 12.9% in people who had been consuming at least one pack of natto in a day over a long period of time.
Ueto says she is a real natto freak, eating six packs a day. gI have it for breakfast, lunch, dinner and breaks when I am on set. As a result, I lost 5 kilograms in one month,h she said, adding that her favorite dish is curry natto.
Dr. Hiroyuki Sumi explains: gThe relationship between natto and acylglycerol is not clear yet. However, natto is naturally high in protein and low in calories, so it keeps you going longer. It is very good for anyone who wants to lose weight. It makes sense to eat natto with curry because spices in curry contain capsaicin that speeds up the fat combustion. Another spice, turmeric, helps the liver. Natto has also been found to dissolve blood clots and is one of the few foods that contain Vitamin K2, which prevents osteoporosis.h
As Uetofs curry natto diet has gained popularity among young women, the number of curry restaurants with her favored dish on the menu has dramatically increased.
Kazuyoshi Tomii, who is the owner of Curry Shop Yamagoya, is considered to be the first to make curry natto. gI started making it more than 30 years ago. The turning point was the opening of a restaurant at the Yokohama Curry Museum three years ago. Aya Ueto has helped to accelerate the widespread boom. Kansai people tend to not like natto by itself, but even they are trying it with curry.h
So there you are. Curry natto is delicious, good for your liver and helps your blood circulation. What about the smell? Try it and see. (Translated by Masatoshi Kuwahara)

@ThyGriever and Freefall, My Sassy Girl is really a wonderful film! So funny. In fact, Korean films is my second favourite only after the Japnaese ones. Bravo!

My sassy girl is great, along with WIndtsruck. In the past months, I've been looking for Daisy, it seems to be teh latest movie with jeon ji-hyun. But I couldn't find it on the net. I heard andrew lau (director of infenral affairs) was co director. I wish I will be able to see it somehow, the story looks good.
