Now, now... It wasn't that bad. At the very least the viewer gets a glimsp of the Japanese education system, as well as the rather cute Saeko. Victory! Peace!

That we did.

Yes....Saeko is pretty cute.
Hope she'll be cute in the Backdancers! movie as well Fingers crossed

I was planning to watch this soon.. but I guess it'll be A LOT later

Out of all the recent school dramas, I thought Dragon Zakura was the best. Much better than Gokusen 2. At least it has a plot that progresses instead of just having a fight in every episode. For me it was one of the better dramas this season and well worth watching. Great eye candy too. Naughty

is there a different sign language for Japanese and English?
'cuz i thought sign language was the same for every language.
but then I saw this thing.. a review about this dorama
and it said "you'll learn a lot about Japanese sign language"
so I thought.. there's a diff. sign language for Japanese?

yes, i think there are variations of sign language:

"Different Sign Languages have developed in different countries where Deaf communities exist, for instance British Sign Language (BSL), American Sign Language (ASL), Ethiopian Sign Language (ESL), South African Sign Language (SASL), etc. Sign Language is not universal or international as many people incorrectly believe. Sign Lanugages are living languages made by real people - the Deaf - making them dynamic, constantly changing and developing, like any natural human language which is capable of developing new vocabulary when needed."

Different languages have different structures and ways of expression, so a universal sign language is very unlikely. As a matter of fact even among the Japanese there are variants of sign languages, such as the Kansai-ban (Kansai dialect) sign language.
