One of Thy's favorite pics is up on it.
I'm all for the May/June pic. I like it most.
The Nov/Dec pic isn't as sexy or cool as the one for the 2006
Bonus Poster too btw. |
almost sounds better than the Limited Edition Single collection.
I like those pics you took.... makes me wish i bought one... should .... not... tempt... myself....

Sorry that the scan quality isnLt so good but the paper is hard to scan
I especially like #4 best

Thanks! 4 & 5 are my favorite. Thanks for scanning them cause i like digital copies so i dont have to open the booklet every time! Btw, the paper they used on it is really nice. Feels all expensive =]

yeah but often times good ideas don't seem to be part and parcel of thinking in Hollywood....the movies released over the last few years have, in large part, been crap.
just think about how stupid it is to have a film like Memoirs of a Geisha with 3 central female characters ALL played by Chinese women.
it's like with the submarine film U-571 - it wasn't the Americans who first captured a German Engima coding machine which helped crack the German military cypher.......it was the British!!!
No wonder the British were pissed....hell I would be too! |
actually, i can understand Memiors of a Geisha. They couldnt find too many talented japanese actresses in the US (they need substanstial english speaking actresses). the popular Chinese Hollywood actors were chosen cause they wanted a top-notch film and decided to use them over people that might seem like rookies or "new to acting". They put in that one guy from Last Samurai who was japanese because he was one of the few JapaneseUS actors with pretty decent acting skills.

VCDs or even Overseas version DVDs like Taiwan or Hong Version versions are MUCH cheaper.
truthfully I only download my doramas at places like www.d-addicts.com or Japan-TV fansubs....it's free and the quality is usually very good |
Yes, those Hong Kong, Malaysia etc versions are like 10 times cheaper. Some equal picture quality and well made boxes (like Ace, Hitonatsu, MlC for example. But not to mistake them with the bootlegs that are often sold at ebay) but most times they are not as good as the original japanese versions. Like AP or Attack for example are definately worse picture quality and cheap boxes.
Many hardcore fans only buy the original CDs and DVDs and would never buy any bootlegs at all.
Well, thatLs quite expensive maybe but original is always better and more precious. For example the Azumi japan limited; was quite expensive but itLs 1000times more beautyful than the cheap bootlegs and HK etc versions over at ebay. And itLs easily worth 10 times as much as those $10 Azumi DVDs at ebay now.
And another important aspect is that you support Aya with buying japanese originals !
Downloading Doramas is OK, of course. But I often buy them if I liked them afterwards.

Yes, the paper makes the CD look valuable but ItLs not good to scan I also tried to scan the cover and back of the booklet but those didnLt work at all.

Theoretically I agree with Tricky. Most US movies that are remakes of asian movies or are placed in Japan are quite bad. Like Last Samurai or Tokyo drift as a late examples. The American hero outdoes all Japanese after a short time of training and saves the day
But actually I liked Memiors of a Geisha a lot. OK, its a US movie and the lead actors werenLt japanese but it felt like a asian movie and not like a US movie somehow. Good atmosphere, good actors...

Totally agree! In fact, I also think in this way and buy all aya's original moives and TV specials (but the dorama series are too expensive for me to buy ). For Taiwanese and Chinese 'cheap' version, I'd also buy ones as they are subbed in Chinese so that I can share them with friends and let them have the chance to appreciate aya's acting.

well that's what im getting at. they picked the chinese actors cause they couldnt find any relatively good/popular US japanese actors to do the part. I think having a white guy play an asian role is totally different than a Chinese playing a Japanese. because the white guy gives a totally different outlook & shares almost no relation in looks/backround.
