I liked Shun in every dorama I saw. He was great in GTO, in Summer Snow, in Gokusen and in HYD too. And he played in Azumi too don't forget it! _________________

yea.....in all honesty he stuck out more in Gokusen then Jun. His character was more....lively, plus he showedemotion and made facial expressions
Don't forget, he had more screen time in Azumi 2.
Worthless Jun wasn't in either Azumi 1 or 2.
Sorry to all Jun fans out there, there is almost nothing good i can say bout this guy except he did a good a job in HYD. Thats bout it. _________________

I watched Hana Yori Dango during the summer like in early june or may and it was really good but after I saw hana yori dango I saw Nobuta Wo Produce for the first time and Nobuta Wo produce is diffenitly the best drama on my list.
K.T.Tran: Yes I know that Shun was in Azumi2 too I saw both of the movies. And he was the better in HYD too, he did a good job. I liked him more than Jun (although I'm a big Jun-fan too). _________________
So, is HYD2 going to follow the storyline of the manga, or are the writers of the TV version doing a "take-off" on the manga? In the manga, did Tsukasa go to New York, for example, in the middle of the story?

yes.....he did go ot New York.
They also go to another place in the manga that wasn't shown in the drama.
HYD 2 will probably close to the manga storyline and the writers will probably add in their own ideas _________________

im hoping that the writers of the hana yori dango will follow what is on the manga.. but even if they will not, i would still watch it and i hope the 2nd installment will be as good or better than the first one!

aah K.T. you're being too hard on Jun. That guy can definately act and have range (from Shin in Gokusen to Momo in Kimi wa Petto). He definately done a good job with that greasy curls of his.
Shun kinda dissapoint me with Rui but he was SO GOOD as the deaf kid in Summer Snow & GTO.

I didn't think highly of his performance in Gokusen, but in HYD i'm applauding him for being able to perform his role.
I still think Jun got ways to go. His roles in Gokusen and in HYD weren't as difficult to do as say Shun's character in Summer Snow or other characters from other dramas given to other actors. _________________
I think Shun and Jun are both great actors. But you can't forget, that Jun is a singer too, and Shun is "only" an actor. But to tell the truth in HYD I liked Shun better, because I couldn't believe that Jun is Doumyouji. But Jun really did great jobs in Kimi wa Petto or in Gokusen. _________________

Shun would look so awkward doing the whole boy band thing, he's too tall!
Anyway, I can't wait for the next season... Hopefully, Doumyoji doesn't clean up his hair or his sense of fashion... that seems to keep my spirits high..

there' re always some stupid comments from a fan to compare ones idol wit other actor, juz like a comment above from someone who thinks Shun has to learn more from Jun and so on.....this juz one side thinking.
both Shun and Jun can really act on screen and beside they are good looking and do have the charm on their own way!

Before you call other people's comments stupid, consider that others may consider using good looks to judge acting ability stupid.

Sure Jun has some talent and courage and looks like he worked hard to portray Domyouji. I applaud him there.

you guys havta factor in the fact that jun is a JE. its soo much easier for him to get a lead role. mr. johnny could just call up any director and pretty much put his little johnnys in there and the director would love it. (okay not any..director..but most) shun started to act when he was just 15!! and he put his whole life into it. he dropped out of school for it! yes jun sings too...but that's just the thing. he didn't start out as an actor. he didn't train for it. he didn't put his whole life on the line just for acting. if he failed at acting..he could always go back to singing or whatever. there's waaaaaaaaaay too many of those singer turned actor or actor turned singer. they feed off popularity from one to another. jun is a little premature in acting. shun acted in a whole spectrum of characters. _________________
I hope Jun and Shun'll be as great in the second season too as they were in the first. I don't care who is the best actor, I like the both of them. _________________
