now that winter is approaching, i've made it a goal to wear BRIGHT colors!!!!! it would be refreshing to walk down a street and see someone in something OTHER than black and/or brown. Dancing i draw inspiration from doramas and even more so k-dramas. anyone know a link to cute, funky, and bright (but not overly) clothes?

That's nice idea. Most of my winter clothing is black and brown too. ashamed

I don't know many fashion web sites or magazines, but I like these 2. I don't know if it's what you want though... I can't help you more than that, I really suck when it comes to fashion. Sweat

thanks! i checked that one out a couple of months ago, though. if you're going for the whole color look, try some layering too. you can draw inspiration from onatoko.com. w00t! it showcases japanese trends and gives lots of tips on layering. Applaud

Layering. I've been doing that a lot lately, since it's really cold. Pout

Thanks for link. It has a lot of nice stuff. Although, I might look weird if I wear any of this, since I'm a guy. Sweat

Ok I posted like in 3-4 threads allready in the hopes someone will respond or know but so far nothing.

This appears to be the only Japanese style thread so I will give it one last shot, if not im calling it quits with this forum and fashion hehe.

"I want to change my hair style(I change it like every semester hehe) and I'm thinking of going a bit more Japanese and longer.
I went to jas-mart which sells mens non-no magazine but all I found were like european models and some pretty crappy hair cuts (allright fashion, but hair styles were lame) (womans non-no has way better fashion sections for girls) "

I also posted this on the other thread,

"Here is the pic:

That haircut is awsome but I think it could be quite a freaking challange everymorning getting it to look like that, and some major wax use Smile

Oh and don't you think his style is great in this pic? (don't like his death/gothic look he has in some pictures) Is this his current look or is this like old and outdated in Japan (I know how fashion in Japan changes like by the second)

Note: Right click and save as to your desktop etc. cause it looks squished due to size restriction in forum. (For those who know that allready, sorry just making sure hehe)"

If someone is able to throw a link at me that might be able to help, or some other suggestion (I allready got the salon that will do it for me, but I want to bring a sample of what I want) I would really appreciate it.

Edit: In case I did not make my main point clear, I'm looking for hair style, not clothing. I love the japanese clothing style and all but is very hard to find something suitable for everyday use her in the states, it can be seen a bit weird and I'm not looking for something like that. Also, when I said a bit longer, I'm not talking mana, final fantasy type thing which is just err... not practical and a bit odd if you get my drift.

I found 1 site which had 4-5 links which I'm currently looking at (good variety) but the more links and pics I see the better as I will have a broad range to look at and so far I only got like 5 styles that I might consider, nothing "OMG I MUST GET" yet. So any pics/links would help.

Thanks.

Fashion frivolity

October 25th, 2006 by Lee
Despite not being as significant as the highly respected eBest Jeanistf awards, the eBest Leathernistf competition is nevertheless not to be, erm, sniffed at.

Amazingly celebrating its sixth year in existence, the eventfs organiser was delighted to announce Eriko Sato as the 2006 leather-clad champion; the 24-year-old actress taking over from the previous winner, Anna Tsuchiya.

Now quite what constitutes a good eleathernistf apart from the wearing of animal skin isnft exactly clear, but after extensive research it appears that Sato-sanfs shiny black boots may well have clinched the deal.

With the addition of this rather cheeky little number doing her bid no harm whatsoever.

Admittedly none of which may actually be made of leather, but that, it has to be said, is about as relevant as the contest itself – and indeed this post

TaintedWisdom

I hear your thinking about a new hair style. I am too....I recently went back to my natural hair colour (or at least what I think it was..... Sweat ) and would like to do something else asap.

What's the style your thinking about at the moment? Other then HYDEs which I have to admit I totally like.

Hehe, wow I'm glad someone read my post.(even if you could not help me out, you still read it and posted something hehe) thought for a second I was the only one able to read it or something.

As for what I'm thinking of, is something between a mid wolf and hyde style. Not really sure yet. But I know I will let it grow as they both require longer hair (that shouldn't take more than 5-6 weeks as my hair grows ridiculously fast)
