And well yes Johnny is a great picker and you really just can't miss his boys...
and that is maybe why i don't find Tego the "cute" cute but just 'cute'...
his voice is refreshing, but not that amusing
and again... still find kusano the best.. can't wait for their comeback in january... will there be any new singles? (especially PVs, i get mp3s easily from my friend but not PVs)
there's one member that i'm not interested in, jess has told me his name plenty of times but i can't seem to remeber it, i always misses writing his name when i post, i can't even remember his name.... ahahah... and also the Ns'Aoi guy... so that makes 2 ^^
Ok...i'm gonna make a wild guess here....is that 'member' - the one you are not interested in - is it SHIGE? nothing reallly....just that a lot of people seem to miss shige : maybe coz he don't seem as sexily confident as the rest. and who would the Ns'Aoi guy be, if i may ask?
oh yeah, tego's voice is great, no doubt. that's why shige composes and apparently tests the songs out on tego first. (well, i read that somewhere).
Just in case you're wondering : shige is my favourite, although I am beginning to love almost every other member as well. (still trying to learn to love UCHI - but willing to learn) . . anyways, maybe you'll learn to love 'em all, pretty much like i did.
by the way, found quite a number of people who don't approve of Kusano so much? why? (ha, ha, a lot of people 'miss' shige coz he's so quiet, though....but do a lot of people not like shige?) _________________

Tegoshi was in 15 Sai no Blues as well. Kusano, Tegoshi, Massu and Shige were in a 4-episode engimono, and Shige was in the Car Radio ga Owareba engimono. Koyama was in Hanayome wa Yakudoshi. Oh yeah, and Massu was in Gachi Baka with Tegoshi and in Dandori.
Drama quality-wise, ones really worth watching are Hanayome, NwP and Lunch no Juou. IWGP and MBMH you've watched already. Well, those were the dramas that I didn't watch purely because NEWS members were in them, although it might've started that way.
Tegoshi doesn't really act well, and I agree with you about the expressions, but Sakura-nantoka was his first role as a happy kid. All his other roles had him being all cool, emo and tough. (In the engimono, he only said about 2 words throughout the 4 episodes!! I never understood what that was all about ^^; )He pulled those off pretty well, and I think he needs more experience to become a better actor. Yamapi became better by gaining experience, and the same could go for Tegoshi.
Koyama, however, in my opinion, is a natural when it comes to acting, although his roles so far have been quite small. Still, it's a pleasure to watch him acting.
Koyama and Shige are both very likeable people, and watching them talk and perform makes them grow on you. Especially Koyama who is very good at talking and cute in his fondness of talking.
And, you, Monta, being a guy, explains everything now I was wracking my head, thinking this girl is hard to please... but you're a guy!
Now, on to Tegoshi's voice. Practically all NEWS fans agree that Tegoshi has the best voice in NEWS even if he isn't their favourite. I'm going to force my opinion on you and never give up until you accept that Tegoshi has the best voice, LOL.. j/k. To each his own. One man's meat is another man's poison. Maybe you should listen more to Tegoshi's voice, though _________________

xD; I LOVE Koyama's acting. xD I love Koyama! XD Has anyone seen the NewS Expose? When they wore blindfolds and Kame was like the MC? XD Koyama would not shut up! Kame was finally like 'You're a bit too noisy, do you mind being quiet?' and Koyama's all 'BUT I HAVE A MIC I WANNA TALK! D:' xD his voice was all high 'cos the voict changy thing was making it high. xD So funny. Then he would not shut up! XD And at the end when it was ending he was like 'WAIT I WANT TO TALK SOMEMORE! 'xD And then Tego said he was the worst dancer.
xD Then Shige was like 'One member in NewS I get annoyed with, is the one who always looks so distant when we talk and he never pays attention. AND HE'S ALWAYS EATING! ' XD Kame's like '-shuffles to Massu.- Pretty bad manners, hm?' and Massu was all 'HEY WAIT A MINUTE! WAIT A MINUTE! HE DIDN'T SAY IT WAS ME!' xD NewS is great, but they're the best when they're in a group. XD That's when they're at their best. =D They're great alone, but at their best in a group.
I LOVED Tego in MBMH his expressions made me laugh so hard. Especially when he looked shocked and stuff. I was like dying. xD I love his facial expressions, but true, his previous roles were all emo and non-happy, so this was new for him and I give him credit. Besides, you can totally tell those expressions were totally real and not fake 'cos he looks like that all the time on talk shows. xD I love how real he is when he acts. He just looks so natural. With more work he could be awesome!

I'm guessing you're new to NewS (sorry haven't been around to read the past posts ) But yeah, they all looked alike to me too ^^;; Esp. Shige and Kusano at first, now I don't know why I even thought they even looked remotely the same xD
Teshi's voice is the best in NewS, and probably the top singer in JE, in my opinion. But compared to outside of JE, it's hard to say. And in terms of his acting, he's not very natural, I have to admit that, especially in MBMH, but it's strange that he can play the emo role very very well (considering he's so happy-go-lucky all the time xD) I haven't watched the movie Shissou yet, but many have praised Teshi in that movie....hopefully subs will come out soon...I heard BNS is working on it ^^
Kei-chan (Koyama) is my third fave in NewS, b/c the boy is a dork and so funny. Great MC, and really great actor, definitely very natural in front of the camera, and great dancer (but sometimes no one notices that ^^; )

1. i love what hantuwriter said : that NEWS is good as a group. Yeah, they are. I DON'T KNOW AS MUCH AS OTHER PEOPLE about Japanese entertainment, of course, but i think that was one of the most accurate statements in the entire planet.

I like massu, his sweet, sweet smile.. love him in gachibaka.. even he is not the lead but he so sweet in that drama. sometime I saw massu was so mysterious.. I don't know why I feel it that way.. Massu voice was good, I like Arigato Ima.. and Zutto

Hm. I wouldn't say that Tesshi necessarily has the best voice in all of JE. I mean, have you heard Ohno (from Arashi) song? Wow. He's amazing. And Jin, of course. These three are the top, I think. I don't know which one I think is the best out of them though. One from each of my favorite groups.
I love NEWS as a group. They are just too much fun. They always make me smile. There's something about each of the members that I love. Although I still know very little about Uchi and Shige. Trying to fix that. They just don't seem as "out there" as the other members for some reason.

(when i heard news the first time, i was hearing an mp3 so i can't imagine how many members there were and nearly all the voice sound the same, the only one i recognized was Yamapi's)

Yeah, I'm not saying Teshi has the #1 voice in JE either, just it's up there....top voices (for me at least) are Ohno, Jin, Teshi, Kusano, Masu, Yasu (listen to san kyoudai's song, AMAZING vocal range), and of course Subaru (and b/c I'm bias...I'll add Ryotan in there )
monta: The one where Notti (Kusano) was pranking the members by putting on the Scream mask, was in the NewS NIPPON DVD. NewS don't have their own television show, in fact they are the only debuted group not to have their own show ^^;;
However, Kei-chan, Masu, Shige, and Teshi (and Notti) are regulars on the Ya-Ya-yah show.
