Finished watching StandUp!

StandUp is not as bad as you think it is once you finished watching the whole show. I must say, the only episodes worth watching was episode 7-11. If you do start watching from the begining, maybe you should do what i did, torturing your own eyes with pegs just in case you fall asleep. The first 6 episodes of this dorama was simply rubbish, shitty, full of crap. Really. From episode 7, you actually feel that this dorama actually does have a plot, -the first 6 episodes felt like random bits of everyday life put into a 45 minute show- but episode 7-11 comes to a more serious story with a solid plot revolving around the 5 friends, evenly shared. There were a lot of funny parts and a little touching moments. You would even probably wish that you had such friends in real life. The simply ignorant and quite cold Yamapi suddenly becomes sweet and shows how much he cares about his friends in the last 5 episodes. The ending was somehow fun but the condom thingi is just too weird. Ignoring the first 6 episodes, this dorama is fun, 7/10, but if you count the first six episodes i'm only going to give 5/10 coz there were only lust and no laughs, and... no story!!! Nino's acting was brilliant

Ehhh.... I somehow didn't finish Attack no.1, i stopped at episode 9 b/c i thoughtthe surprise ended there, and i predicted the ending the same as Ace with only a difference in the diameter off the ball and a bunch of people instead of an individual. But IMO, inspite of the whole show itself, the tennis aura was stronger than the volley aura.

watching Tatta Hitotsu no Koi right now. First ep.

Flowing at a nice pace.....boring pace.
Kame's character is like that of Nobuta.
Koki's character seems rather interesting.

Erika's character....not really showing much either, though she looks "beautiful" as Koki's character put it.

Ayase's character, good thing she's not one thats bout to die

Attack No1 is not as bad as Ace, even if it's almost the same plot and cast. Which one would you prefer: watching another episode of Ace or having the flu for another week? Beaten hehe

rofl rofl rofl

I cant decide!!! Shameful Cry Shameful Cry

THink I'll put Attack #1 on tap for awhile.
Saw ep 7&8 of Nagaru Onna, Boxing Woman. Its fun. And a quality production. Watched ep 1 of From The Northern Country. Interesting with lovely scenery. Not filled with big name idols. I have good feelings about it and the kids are charming.
Going to start White Tower next. Karasawa Toshiaki and Eguchi Yosuke always give a fine performance so it should be good. Big Grin

I've been watching "Gachi Baka".

Because I have it! Okay?

Not a good show, but it did give me a laugh when I found out that the star, Katsunori Takahashi is a veritable Alan Ladd! I mean, this is a tiny guy!

That might not be a revelation to most, but I've watched 3 Saraiman Kintaro series (guilty pleasure) a few episodes of "Tokumei Kakarichou Tadano Hitoshi" and all of the gawdawful "Nyokei Kazoku" and he's always come across as the big tough action star.

Amazing what they can do with camera angles and casting.

But in Gachi Baka they just show you how short the guy is.

Alan Ladd. Sly Stalone. Katsunori Takahashi. Jeez, the next thing you know they'll come out and admit that John Wayne wasn't 6'4" but 4'6"!

Oh... A review of the show. It's not very good.

Well..... What can you say about a series when even Ryoko Yonekura isn't pretty enough to make it watchable?

If you think that's bad, try "Kurokawa no Techou", also starring Yonekura Ryoko.
