I ripped it from my DVD and I didn't edit the timing... my DVD has trailer at the beginning... hope it'll work... just rename the subs... cuz I don't know the filename of the 1,2Gb version...

Thanks for the subs setiawan_arif! I got my copy from mininova and it has a preview of the movie at the beginning, I hope the subs is synced with this version.

If it's the same version as the one from death-notes.com, then no, they aren't. But I removed the first 3 mins 34 secs from the beginning of the file (I think it's actually a TV version rip) and the subs sync beautifully (sofar).

Thanks for the subs setiawan_arif, I hope you don't mind, but i'm going to go through them and correct some of the English as some of it doesn't make sense.

I got my copy from death-notes.com. I think it's a TV rip, but the quality is very good. I'm not sure how it differs from the DVD version or the movie version. The one I have is the s^m version, running time around 1 hour 55 minutes without the 3:34 I removed from the beginning.

yeah , L is cool and I prefer Misa Amane(Erika Toda), but her didn't act so much in part 1 ....

also looking forward the part 2 coming out ... even if the pirate one come out first, I will buy it too

If the filename goes something like "DEATH NOTE Senpen (D-NTV 16：9NTSC XviD1.1.0 AAC)" and using matroska (.mkv) format then they are probably the same version. And yeah, the subs aren't synced in my copy as well. I'll try to do what you did with your copy.

I see. Anyway, I saw in the link that you posted (death-notes.com) that they already have subbed the movie and is now available via direct download, but I'm not sure of the quality since it is only 500MB. I'll try to get that one when I get home later.
